If you could ask the developers to fix a few things in the game in a near-future update (maybe one day someone there will see this), what would you propose? Here's my list in no particular order, with spoilers for those who haven't unlocked all characters and played Classic on a high difficulty:
1. A separate toggle for special moves and equipment
Many people love special moves but don't like equipment. Therefore, it should be possible to play matches where players can choose or have random special moves but not equipment. A local tournament is allowing special moves but not equipment as well.
2. More online game modes
Allow variations such as standard, custom specials, all customizations on, a fun variant with unusual rules and conditions, random characters, and others. Add 1v1 and stock matches to For Fun.
3. Omega stages with varying static platforms instead of not having any
Having only Final Destination-inspired matches is both boring and advantageous to characters like Little Mac that dominate on the ground but are horrible in the air.
4. An extra way of unlocking special moves and/or a slower-moving wheel in Classic
I propose a new special being unlocked for each 20 KOs in Smash, Classic, All-Star, Smash Run matches, and For Glory if it's not already unlocked; otherwise the next one will be unlocked. For example, 20 = standard 2, 40 = side 2, 60 = up 2, etc.
5. A more zoomed-out view when selecting outfits
Characters like Ganondorf and Pac-Man are difficult to see with current settings. Also, let players choose outfits in the nice zoomed-out, rotatable view when customizing.
6. Minigames from Smash Run as well as a boss fight mode available in Stadium
Many players love these but rarely get to play them because of the conditions.
7. Special Smash for metal, bunny hood, invisible, and other matches both online and offline
This was loved by many players of Melee and Brawl. Unless the 3DS has hardware limitations that prevent this, it would definitely be a welcome return. Players might even be willing to settle for 30 fps (is it 60 now?) in this mode.
8. Make clone characters unique or alternate outfits
Lucina is very close to Marth, and Dark Pit is almost exactly the same down to his idle animation. Ganondorf, while not a direct clone, has many other potential specials like the white energy ball and dark waves from OoT.
9. Remove Smash Run's final matches and add options
Instead, integrate the race, special matches, and other options into the run itself. Options such as time and difficulty would add variety. Perhaps have a set number of stocks as yet another option.
10. Add an online mode for Smash Run
This would be fun, assuming players spawn near each other and can go through the level together.
11. Change Fox's voice
It's so bad that I'm giving this its own spot. "Yeow! Yeow! Yeow!" That's how I feel every time Fox gets hit.
12. Character-specific Break the Targets stages like in Melee
Make use of each character's unique abilities, such as crawling, wall-jumping, specials, etc. Allow for custom specials to make things really interesting; which version of Mario's fireball to choose? As an alternative if 50ish stages would be too many, have multiple stages that make certain attributes useful like wall-jumping.
13. Remove the shadow version of yourself from the Master Core fight
It's really difficult to get to this last fight without a high percentage on your last stock on 9.0, and all it takes is one unpredictable smash attack to send you and your 3DS flying.
14. Change copied final smashes
No two characters should have the same final smash.
15. More stages and music if possible
It would be great to have at least three songs per stage with My Music back and at least one stage for each franchise.
16. Allow exporting and/or uploading of screenshots and replays
Replays are great, but how are other people to see them if they aren't using that player's 3DS? A file share, an option to upload to a specified YouTube account, and/or a tool to export files in popular formats such as mp4 would be great, especially if player names are shown as well.
