Project M Wifi Question

So now that Project M 3.6 is out I was wondering if the wifi addon was fixed. If it has been fixed and we are able to play online then I would like to know if there is a group for players that use the wifi addon. I do have a skype if there is a group on there but if someone could tell me if the addon does work and there is a group for players to play using the addon that would be great. Thanks.

Fixed? It was never broken.

Anyway, yes there is a good amount of people that play PM wifi (me included). There's a matchmaking thread here, and as for a skype group, I know there is one, but I'm not sure who you should contact to enter it.

I heard in 3.6 that the addon crashed when going to the character select screen. I don't remember who said it but I don't know if it really happened. Thanks for the help! I'll check it out now.

I guess I'll chime in for both @ Omar_25 and you. To access wifi you're suppose to dig around in the PM files and finding the addons folder. You'll find a file called wifi.7z. Simply extract it and you'll get 4 new files (whose names escape me). The main one is the RSBE01.gct, which one you replace with the current one will allow you to access wifi(along with replacing the other files with the new ones you extracted). If successful you'll see a wifi symbol in the background of the CSS.

As for the Skype group, you can simply add me as a contact (royal.xina1) if you're interested. We have 100+ members, around 40 to 50 of which who are active daily.

Wait, can you not just update the launcher and add the addon through the boot menu anymore? I haven't played PM wifi since 3.6b so I might be behind on some stuff.

You might be able to; however, for majority of people it simply crashes at the launcher when updated this way and the game freezes once loaded.

Hey, I did everything you said to and it can connect with wif, but as soon as I click "Fight" and load the character select screen, my wii freezes. What do I do?

Never mind, sorry! Just had to do some trouble shooting and I fixed it!
