Project M Teams with Great Synergy

Gimme what you got! My gf and I did our first doubles tournament and we did decent against the better Michigan Players. We played Zelda and Kirby.

I believe that our team has some good potential and people should give it a try.
Also what do you think would make a better teammate for Kirby or Zelda.

And lastly list some great teams you have or have seen before. Look forward to all your responses!

Ivysaur is a good team character to begin with, but she does especially well with Dedede, Toon Link and Kirby. She does have a tendency to hit her partners due to having enormous hitboxes, but with good coordination it's a great team character. Being in teams allows her bair, which has one of the best hitboxes in all of PM, to become a combo starter. I play her as a campy tank support thingy and I've been getting great results.

Lucas does really well too, because the mess that is the neutral games in doubles negates his main weakness which is the lack of approaches. He does well with any character that has energy projectiles : ZSS, Lucario, Pit, Samus, etc...

Then there's the infamous Anubis team, which consists in either Snake and MK, or Snake and Kirby. The idea is to put MK or Kirby in port 4, plant a c4 on them, and blow the c4 while they're doing an uthrow to get kills at any percentage. The thing is, Snake is not exactly brilliant in teams in PM, so it's a very gimmicky team that can get shut down brutally.

Jigglypuff should be a good team partner in theory, as her partner can jab her whenever she does a rest, but I've yet to see her put to good use.

Ganon / Bowser

If either one of you land a sideB, that opponent's going to take SOOOOO much damage. Or just die w/e. Both of you can outspace almost anyone with just ftilt and fair. If Bowser Dsmashes someone (trust me, he ****ing will lol) you can meet the opponent in the air with a dair, or at low percents you can Usmash them while Bowser sets up an Uair. The team is so ungodly sick that I just can't explain all of it in one post.

from experience of mixing characters with my friend i've found that wolf/lucario is a good team, this works even better if a stage has an angle like yoshi's island because it basically lines up wolfs side b to hit anyone standing near the edge. Lucario can also space people towards the edge with his aura spheres.

Ganon / Bowser

Back when Brawl was new, my friend and I played Ganon/Bowser respectively and I really wanted to do teams at a tourney with them just for the epicness. Of course, he never followed through.

I'd love to see more of this team in PM though. Space Animals be damned.

From the little I've messed with my friend in doubles, Link/Toon Link actually seems like a very solid team. Toon Link/Captain Falcon seems doomed to failure.

As for theorycrafting: I think that Sheilda has some of the most potential for doubles in the entire game.

Link / Samus is a really good team.

Wario is like basically the best support character in the game so he works with anyone that you want to deal the most damage or gain more KOs than normal. "ADC" basically. He's especially hilarious for setting up Marth tippers with his swallow gimmick.

I like using Kirby in teams. I find myself playing great support with this character. I feel very on edge using Ivy or Ganon in teams, as I'm afraid I'll kill somebody.

Wario is like basically the best support character in the game so he works with anyone that you want to deal the most damage or gain more KOs than normal.

I'd like to see more character theme teams. I remember watching a Brawl team that was and , and it was glorious. Style like that is just cool. Give me more of that. and , and , and (turtles), and , etc. We need more style
