They send at more of a down angle than spikes, are more powerful at earlier percents, can bone certain characters, and make for ultimate boner killers when you watch Sethlon vs. M2K's Marth.

Basically if the character has/had a spike it may make them too good. If they miss the meteor cancel it kills and if they get it they're in a pretty bad spot/no DJ.

Also

Are meteors supposed to be ****ing useless in PM because a player I played last semester is now meteor cancelling instantly every time

The only good thing that happened from it was I read his QA and got him with my Fsmash as Yoshi once
Go deeper for da kill

Iirc, everything should be a meteor, spikes are dumb

Another thing

Is Falcon's Uthrow->Nair->regrab->repeat a thing on a lot of characters on low percent? Because I've never seen it until today and it looks annoying to get hit by

The lightest character I saw it work on was Link

Spikes aren't stupid, meteors are stupid. Why are knockback angles between 260-280° arbitrarily cancelable when no other angle is? It's a hype killer most of the time and just makes spike angles almost strictly better. The only reason it even comes out okay is because moves with meteor angles are generally compensated with better knockback or are easier to hit, but that's a really dumb way to go about designing it. Each angle already has strengths and drawbacks in-and-of itself, just like all other knockback angles; why not just leave it like that?

Rob players dissatisfied with how Rob can't spike every character into oblivion while he takes forever to KO and is actually ungimpable.

I agree that the angle shouldn't be interrelated with whether or not it is cancelable.
We should just replace all spikes and meteors with the Sakurai angle, on second thought.

Shinespikes aren't hype.

Neither are meteor cancels stopping things that were hype potential.
If Ness's dair spiked. He would become SSS tier and the new antihype.

Edit: Fox's shine spike wouldn't be that bad if he didn't have 3 other kill moves.

When your argument js destroyed by a gif

Where you at
Neither are meteor cancels stopping things that were hype potential.
Let me explain this quote for you since the words don't seem to have made enough sense to you.

Meteor cancels aren't hype when they ruin things that was potentially extreme hype.

I never said anything about meteor cancels on things that aren't hype. hence my statement in agreement with @ Lizalfos Lizalfos

In my defense I wasn't arguing, I was just mocking your opinions

You can't mock my opinions because they were statements of fact, not opinions
You can disagree with them and be wrong tho

I'm pretty sure meteor cancels can only be done after a few frames of taking the hitstun of them. If they have been reverted to the Melee system, I thank the PMBR again for the true SPICKE OV TEH PHIRE being given to Roy in 3.5.

Except most of your initial post about meteor cancels was in fact opinion.
Spikes aren't stupid, (opinion) meteors are stupid. (Opinion) Why are knockback angles between 260-280° arbitrarily cancelable when no other angle is? It's a hype killer most of the time (opinion) and just makes spike angles almost strictly better. (Opinion) Each angle already has strengths and drawbacks in-and-of itself, just like all other knockback angles; why not just leave it like that?
Are we done yet?
