I'd rather they not go easy on me and I can feel satisfaction from winning than they go easy and make it so that it doesn't feel like a true victory.

But if you fight someone who is level 5, and you're level 1, you will not get better. If you fight someone who is level 2, and you're level 1, you will. Then you slowly go up. When I sandbag, i do it for two reasons.
1 So the person doesn't get frustrated
2 So they can slowly progress

That's not the point. I'm simply saying that it's weird to say "Pretty good for my age" when there's no reason to. Your age is in no way important unless you're really young, or really old.
