Project M Championship Circuit Returns for 2017

Hitbox TV's Giuseppe "Messi" Messina took to Reddit on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming 2017 Project M Championship Circuit, organized by Project M Central. Reiterating that the PMCC website is underway, Messi broke down the system currently in place for the Circuit, which includes a mix of local Weeklies and Regional Qualifiers.

As it currently stands, competitors must attend their local weekly PM tournaments in order to gain Elo, which contributes towards their overall standing within the PMCC. Every tourney will net a competitor points, but in order to promote a bit more incentive for performance, there are a few bonus. The Top 5% will receive a discount for venue fare and eligibility to skip pools at regional qualifiers, along with custom skins, while the Top 10% receives only the discounted fare and custom skins.

Regional Qualifiers will take place in one of six major regions: Pacific Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Midwest, South, Atlantic South, and Atlantic Northeast. Placing in a Regional Qualifier awards the competitor “Olympus Points,” which are separate from the Elo system in place for Weeklies. Olympus Points are used for a prize system that includes custom controllers, PMCC merchandise, and flights to Olympus.

There are at least 8 Regional Qualifiers confirmed at this point in time.
