Sup dude, nice build ya got there. Since you seem to know your way around stage replacement, would you mind helping me out with a small stage-icon related issue that I'm having with my own build. I don't wanna release the FINAL version of my mod with out making sure ALL the proper stage icons are in place. Here's a thread I made recently that goes into further detail. Any help would be most appreciated. Oh, and Good Luck with yours too btw. I'm sure you'll get tons of players.

Hi there, I'm pretty much casual PM player; and I was never interested in any custom content.

Now it's different, I like your menus, skins, altered stages - and of course - beautiful new ones. Finally customized PM release without stupid overpowered attacks, 10,000+ new stupid characters and so on! Go on man!

I hope you won't stop on one release, I still hope someone will push PM forward in the right direction.

Personally I hope someone will put Knuckles from PM 3.7 dev version into some release and finish him properly.

Anyway, can't wait to try your version.

Thank you very much! Yes, my goal was to create an expanded build that maintains the authentic Project M 3.6 feel while simultaneously giving it a more vibrant and polished look. No worries mate, the build will expand over time! I have left room for the future because this wonderful community consistently creates more amazing content!

I think you are able to do this via the Brawl Stage Manager program. I am not sure if you can add separate MenSelmapMark & MenSelchrMark for the "default" stages (such as final destination, battlefield, etc.) however I think you can redirect them. I know you can also have separate logos/icons for all of the STGCUSTOMXX expansion stages. Try playing around with it. Backup your build, and open it with the Brawl Stage Manager.

If you do not already have MenSelmapMarks & MenSelchrMarks for the expansion stages (assuming you are using stage expansion) click on Tools > "Prepare sc_selmap for expansion stages". It then gives you options to add MenSelmapMark / MenSelchrMark for each stage individually, or they can all share one set of icons/logos. You will then need to add your own textures for each stage or to the single directory depending on which options you choose.

Also: on the far right side near the SSS preview/logos, there is a tool labeled "Modify PAT0 mapping (~)". Highlight/select the stage you wish to edit and click the button. You will now have options for editing which SeriesIcon and MenSelmapMark you wish to use with that particular stage.

I hope this helps you! Good luck with your build and God bless!

So what exactly is changed in the stages that were edited by you? Like Bell Tower or Luigi's Mansion?

Stages that are noted as "VR32 Edit" typically have collision adjustments to better suit competitive play. For example, I edited the collisions on Suzaku Castle so you don't get stuck under the stage when recovering. I enabled wall jump on the Luigi's Mansion stage. On Bell Tower, I removed the ledges that were on the platforms above the stage.

Stages that are noted as "VR32 Edition exclusive remix" include model and texture edits along with collisions, boundaries, animations, etc.

why not cBliss?
While building this I heard about the incoming 20 costume code. I decided to wait until that is released so I can select and organize all of the new textures that are available at the time of its release. I will likely have an update by then!

Dude, this is an excellent build. Like I said on the subreddit, my only complaint is the choice of SSS. On a purely personal level, I just don't like that style. I much prefer the PM style of SSS. But, again, that's just me. Everything else here is absolutely wonderful.

what kind of sd card should i use? a 2 gb?:??::??:
The build is over 2 gigs. I would recommend a 4 gig or larger SD card for loading it on the Wii. Please note that this is a homebrew build and will not load hack-less via the current build setup.

If you are trying to play this on dolphin, please read this post for help, as I do not have experience with PM on dolphin. MAKE SURE TO USE A " 7 " on the virtual SD card maker!

Ok, VB - just to let you know but you've just made my little boy very happy. He is now discovering your work as he is big enthusiast of PM at our home.

In first minutes he got literally crazy when he saw all the new skins, new stages and all that cool stuff that you've put into this build. Now I'm being called to see the TV every 3 minutes with words "Dad, look!"

So, good work and keep up the good work.

EDIT:

Ok, some of my thoughts now:
- some stages could use more contrast as backgrounds and the stage are sometimes way too similar when it comes to colors(example Baloon Fight stage - in my opinion grass on the stage could be a little brighter)
- some stages are totally awesome - I love the one with the castle from SMB1 - great!
- there is a problem with recording demos on L and Z activated stages. Demo just loads the basic version of the stage.

WOW! I am starstruck! WorseDoughnut commenting on my humble build! I just want to thank you personally for letting me use some of your amazing stages in my build! I dropped into the Legacy discord several weeks ago and asked if it would be OK. You personally told me it was cool and linked me the Legacy XP credits list! I would not have released this build if I did not have your consent. My build would not be much without your phenomenal stages! Its hard for me to pick a favorite stage, and I am sure you have many more to come! I love your guy's Legacy XP build, and I am very hyped for Legacy TE! Again, thank you so very much for your support, and God bless!

That is amazing! I am thrilled to hear a kid is excited about my build! Gaming is extra special when you are young, so I am honored to be apart of his childhood gaming experience! I did not create any of these stages from scratch. I edited some and remixed some quite a bit, but I did not fuss to much with textures. To address the replay issue you are having, I believe the game only wants to load the primary stage on replays, so sometimes alts may be very conflicting and cause a desync of sorts. In addition to this, I am pretty sure replays are buggy with PM in general. I am not an expert on this though, so maybe someone else may be able to enlighten us.

Yo, nice stage choice here!

Out of curiousity, what did you change on my Luigi's Mansion? It's my oldest stage and I've been meaning on making an update for it myself honestly.

I am starstruck yet again!!! soopercool101 commenting on my humble build! WOW, the amount of love I have received is unexpected! The only thing I did to Luigi's Mansion was enable wall jump. Yes, this is a trivial edit, however I am OCD and I just wanted to note the change. I suppose I should go through and note exactly what was changed on stages at some point; I was just quickly typing stuff up. Dude, the thought of you improving your already amazing Luigi's Mansion has got me like... It would be so sick if you added some animated ghost models, or the Dark Moon in the sky with King Boo floating around, idk just some thoughts.

I would also like to personally thank you for your amazing stages! My build would not be soopercool without them! (insert cheesy jim carrey grin here). Quite some time ago I requested a M styled infinite glacier and you delivered! Out of curiosity, did you ever solve that flickering sky glitch when the match ends? Again, thank you so much for your support, and God bless!

Quite some time ago I requested a M styled infinite glacier and you delivered! Out of curiosity, did you ever solve that flickering sky glitch when the match ends?
Oh yeah I did! I should update the download, actually. (Note to self, do this tonight)

EDIT: I'm fairly certain it should be fixed now, link to the download. Let me know if anything's still broken!

Glad to hear that - he is really amazed with your build :).

I am aware that you are not the creator of the stages - the new one came from the community. Still, I just thought that if you're editing you may make some changes - but only if you think these changes make the levels look better.

The replays are a different pair of shoes; to be honest I do not remember having any problems with PM itself, but I didn't make a lot of demos anyway. Still, I hope someone will solve this issue.

Anyway, all the best with the build, looking forward to see changes in all the future releases.

And thank once again for your great work.

Infinite Glacier M (Version 2.0) Bug Fix:

(Build download has been updated, use this patch if you downloaded VR32 Edition 1.0 before 1/15/2017)

Match ends flashing sky bug fixed by soopercool101, download and replace STGICE with "STGICE (No Ice, Clouds).PAC" version 2.0, or with the version you prefer. Make sure to rename the version you choose to STGICE.PAC & overwrite the existing stage.

Directory / Where to place STGICE.PAC file: projectm\pf\stage\melee

This build is otherwise fantastic, but I would not call dubstep/metal covers from OCRemix tasteful. It almost makes me want to delete the pack. I don't know why this is such a huge trend but it almost singlehandedly ruins mods like this, especially at parties when no one wants to hear that stuff. Please, from now on, try to at least offer the default stage music if not selections from the original soundtracks of their origin games. You can include your selections as a bonus but writing over classic game tracks is just kind of a travesty and I am honestly sick of it.

The one thing the PMDT did right was they never attempted to force their tastes on anyone else, whether it be playing favorites to certain franchises or aesthetic decisions/creative choices. They simply just tried to honor the Smash/Nintendo style and legacy, and they succeeded via their attention to detail and authenticity. Listen to someone shred "The Great Sea" (which is a supposed to be a pretty mellow song) is the antithesis of that. You even killed the Melee menu music.

Geez dude, you could just not put the sound folder in your SD card and you wouldn't have to worry about the music.

Calm down dude, lol. Firstly, this is MY PERSONAL mod that I am simply sharing with the community. Everyone has their own taste in music, and I am sure I could find something about your tastes that I dislike, but I am not gonna make an issue over it. In addition, the custom expansion stages only offer a single brstm track by default, so I picked a fitting song with an energetic vibe to it. Sometimes it was an OST track, sometimes it was a remix. I cant imagine you would rather hear a bunch of random subspace emissary and menu tracks on these stages, lol. There are also a lot of OST tracks from various games I sprinkled throughout the build. On a side note, I have listed in this thread every single song that I implemented into my build with its corresponding stage and brstm code, so feel free to sift through and put something together that floats your boat.
