i found that build (and am currently using it) but the only reason i didnt post it was because its the netplay build, which has some of the stage backgrounds removed and replaced and is just barely slightly diffirently from the "Full" build of PM 3.6

I tried the file and I ended up with some weird Brawl / PM hybrid with tons of glitches.

did you read the file named: READ ME PLEASE.txt?

Q: Can I use this on my Wii?
A: You can use it on your Wii by following the same instructions but running the bat from the console folder instead (make sure your Brawl iso is still in the root). Otherwise it will corrupt your save data.

I tried it, but ended up a pretty buggy and modded version with things like alt stages not working and no sound fx for lucario
plus after every match there was a sonic challenger approaching and i couldnt stand that.
found a guide here on how to use a brawl iso without building and works well now.

Question, using the Console ISO method, I was not able to select the alternate stages, but with the SD method with my Brawl Disc, it was able to just fine. Any insight on this?

ASL doesn't work with PM ISOs.
id say because youre hardcoding in a level to the iso, you cant have code that says 'when this is pressed, open the file from this location instead.

I was using the Console method included with the Netplay pack, using a Vanilla Brawl ISO from my disc. It wouldn't work but it mysteriously decided to on Dolphin. Will edit to confirm if it works with Wii.

Edit: Ok so, the ISO works on Dolphin with the alternate stages, but not on the Wii, with the same ISO. This shouldn't be a problem, correct?

Edit 2: SD Card method works fine. Will have to settle.

Yeah I've already made a 3.6 iso for netplay, but I'd prefer one that doesn't have the weird dialogue boxes at the beginning and that I could add custom stuff too

I initially had troubles getting a working WBFS by converting the ISO from the build script, but I found a solution by looking at the previous 3.5 build script and changed a couple of lines:

SET FILEEXT=iso
SET FILEEXT=wbfs

SET WITFLAGS=ovv
SET WITFLAGS=ovvz

Now the script will build a WBFS file. From here I was able to use Wii Backup Manager to split the image to a FAT32 drive (FAT32 has a 4GB file size limit and cannot accept the full ISO image).

===== BUT HERE'S THE CRAZY PART =====

The game runs pretty clean, but there is something very strange about the controls which I consider a serious issue. The game requires a harder analog input than Melee to initiate a dash! I actually booted up Melee to confirm that it was much easier to dash-dance than in the new PM. Is this result a byproduct of this ISO builder being a fork of the Netplay release, or is it a bug that exists in all versions of PM 3.6 Beta?

I am actually a fool; my previous comment about dashing being more difficult was simply a placebo. I switched back and forth between Melee and PM 3.6 and seem to have no trouble now, if anything the analog sensitivity between both games seem very similar now. It's actually Smash 4's fault for ruining my tech skill, ruining everything.

Hi there! Is there a builder for personal use in Dolphin, not for Netplay? I had some problems with the 3.5 Netplay build since it made many secret characters appear after each game...

Thanks anyway ;)

Could a Project M ISO work with WBFS manager and USB Loader?

How do you build Project M without a Brawl iso?

Yes you can, but I wasn't able to get the PM 3.6 builder to get a working WBFS without modifying the script. I tried to convert the builder's ISO to WBFS, but it kept returning errors in CFG USB Loader. My solution was to change 2 lines in the console script to build a WBFS directly:

SET FILEEXT=iso
SET FILEEXT=wbfs

SET WITFLAGS=ovv
SET WITFLAGS=ovvz

The resulting WBFS can be safely split and transferred using any software of your choice.

Good news everyone! I got the PM 3.6 beta netplay builder to make a stable offline ISO without that music menu stuff (which breaks sonic). In the RSBE01.gct you have to take out the following code:

C2078E28 00000007
809C0178 2C1B0004
40820028 8082FFF0
2C040000 4182000C
2C04278D 4180000C
38802788 3884FFFF
38840001 9082FFF0
60000000 00000000

Unfortunately the alt stage function still doesn't work but at least you will be able to make stable custom offline ISOs.

Have fun guys

Would you be able to upload or PM me your gct file? I don't have any way of editing it with GCTEdit and the creator from the Beta Netplay thread isn't being very helpful.

Okay so from the looks of it, having custom PM ISO's for console is broken :/
I used the music fix above and even with it I ran into the problem of the character select screen being the Brawl CSS. Prior to this i have gotten the infinite black screen just before the intro music countless times. It doesn't look like copying a custom/vanilla GCT and projectm folder works in any capacity.
