Problems with the C-stick

Does anyone know why you throw out a n-air when you buffer a c-stick aerial from a platform drop? It happens with the c-stick set on attack as well so I don't think the smash c-stick is the problem.

If you move it diagonally, it will do a nair instead of a directional attack. Not sure about buffered from a drop specifically, but make sure you're moving it on a cardinal axis.

This happens to me too.

It happens when we have c-stick set to smash attacks. What you're saying is only for when it's set to tilts.
