Problems with Brawl+ starting

I've been having problem getting Brawl+ to work. The first time I tried, it couldn't read the disc, but the second time it worked.

Now it's not working at all, I've tried 15+ times and it only read the disc once, and that time it didn't read the codes. I'm pretty sure it's not the disc because it runs fine if you play the normal way.

Is this a common problem? Or did I end up doing something really stupid?

You probably didn't put Geko or the codes in the right place.

It's worked 100% fine for me since I first got it. It must be an error on your part. Make sure you put the various files in the correct places. That's all I can really say.

But if I put the files in the wrong spot, shouldn't it not work at all? I've gotten it to run normally once.

I tried a few more times after redoing everything. It's recognizing that there are codes on the SD card and its applying them, but it still is always getting a disc reading error.

But it's only Gecko that's not reading it. It runs properly when just using the Wii.
