Problem with the mayflash 4 port adapter

So i just bought the mayflash 4 port adapter ( http://astore.amazon.com/smashboards00-20/detail/B00RSXRLUE ) to play melee on netplay. Dolphin works fine, i can run the rom but my computer wont recognize the adapter. I followed the controller setup guide (https://www.smashladder.com/guides/view/258h/how-to-configuring-a-controller) but when i go in option->gamecube pad settings on dolphin, it only shows one device : DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse. I've tried using different usb ports but none worked. I'd really appreciate any advice. Thank you.

It shouldn't list it as a device under the standard controller configuration thing. Instead, on the first tab that opens when you click controllers there should be something that says "direct connect" which should be checked off and it should also specify that an adapter is detected. If so, then you just turn on the game and it'll work. If not, then you messed something up in the instructions so double check everything.

Flip the switch on the back of the adapter.
You want wii U mode, not PC mode.

I cant find the controller option where the direct connect should be
