Prepping for EVO; Where do I start?

Hey, not sure if this is the right place to post or not, but I was just curious on what you guys would reccomend for preparing for EVO? I might be heading there this year, and I really want to make sure I at least put up a fight when the time arrives. I've had my fair share of local and online tourneys, but nothing this big. What should I do to prepare for these next few months?

P.S. , I main Mega Man (My best!), Diddy, and Villager. I also play Ness and Little Mac but both are far too risky for EVO.
