[EDIT] Upon further inspection, I notice that games out so far seem to have their own individual friend codes...

*Subtracts 20 more cool points.... then frowns*

HOWEVER, It still seems a bit worthwhile to have alot of Wii friends. not to mention that when Brawl DOES come out, we can easily message each other with our Brawl friend codes.
IMO it seems at least a bit worth the trouble.

Although now this seems more of a General topic, It still pertains to Brawls Future release.
So please be patient with me... [EDIT]



Okay, please delete this if it's already been done before and link me to the original, but from what I saw when I searched, there isn't an official (nor active) Wii Friend Code trading type thread.

I mean, I don't wanna wait till Brawl comes out to start Requesting them (and even if it isn't online, they may com in handy to have alot of sources )

anyways, the object of this thread is to get as many friend codes as possible so as to be ready for online play. the sooner the better. It means more time to correct errors and changes as well as to keep in touch with other fans. Or maybe just for the ability to have a plethora of chances to play competetively or friendly online with the Wii.

+++First, Post on this thread, giving out your Wii Friend Code(located on the cover of your contacts menu in your Wii's message board, as well as the Nickname with which you want others to designate for you.(try to be brief)

+++Second, If you would like to register a member who has posted on this board, send them a Private message with your information (Code and Nickname) and ask them to register you as well.
++Once you have registered them on your Wii and they have registered you on their Wii, you should be able to send them a message directly from your Wii.

+++If someone requests your Information, PLEASE don't be picky or stingy.

To Find you Wii Code, Do the Following::

:::From the Wii's Main Menu, Click on the MAIL icon ( Wii Message Board)

:::At the bottom left should be an icon for Sending mail, click it.

:::Three new icons come up, click the one on the right (I believe it is Contacts)

:::This should bring up to contacts list. if you see your Wii Friend Code, copy it down to a peice of paper. IF YOU DON'T SEE THE CODE, you may be on the wrong page and you must click the arrow on the left of the screen.

~~Then post the code on this thread as well as your Nickname.
~~Both people must register each other in order for it to work(so for example if you registered my Wii, I would have to also register yours in order for us to send messages to each other.

Take it easy... Online play in Brawl has still not been confirmed, or really even mentioned at all since before the game started development. Don't get your hopes up until we see a real announcement.

It is VERY likely that you will have a SEPARATE Friend Code for Brawl, should it have online play. This is how Pokemon Battle Revolution and Mario Strikers Charged works. So not only is this topic WAY too early, but it would contain a ton of useless information anyway. When the time comes, if Smash uses a separate number from your regular Wii number, we will likely add a field for your postbit, just like the Wii # field we have now.
