Even if you Pre-order.. isn't it the same thing as buying it from the store?... Hmm I'm probably mistaken, I never reserve or.. Pre-Order since I usually just walk in and buy it that way. Which I plan to do when Brawl comes out.

My girlfriend promised me that she'd get me Brawl for Christmas, but I have yet to get her to go out and reserve a copy though. I'm hoping she does because I would like to play Brawl on Christmas DAY if I can't play it before then.

With overnight shipping, Gamestop.com guarantees that you get it on the day that it normally ships to stores, so you might have it a day early in some cases.

I'll preorder from a store if I can get confirmation of a midnight opening

Pre-Order all the way.

I generally go beyond the $5 minimum that's asked at Gamestop - for Brawl, I paid the full price including sales tax so when I pick the game up on the street date (the Gamestop on 33rd and Broadway in Manhattan is selling pre-orders on 12/3 and selling the rest on 12/4) I can just walk in, give them my name, and walk out w/ Brawl in under 30 seconds... assuming I'm the first on line, which I will be. :D

Yeah, I think it's just you :p

Usually I only bother preordering stuff if you get a special deal by doing so. Otherwise, I just walk in, grab a copy, and roll out :p

You know...I just realized almost everyone one of my posts has a smiley in it.... oh well lol.

I was getting pretty excited about playing it a day early, since I pre-ordered on express at Gamestop.com. Then I remembered the day before is a Sunday, thus, no mail. =(

Already pre-ordered mine. I don't see what's wrong with that. I get to walk into the store the day it comes out and know for a fact that they won't be sold out.

I've already put $5 down at Gamestop. They probably won't get the game till Dec. 4. However, if Walmart has it Dec. 3rd I'll buy it from there in a heartbeat. I could use the $5 at Gamestop towards something else.

Brawl comes out on a Monday, which means for those of us who have school, I don't feel like guarding 50+ dollars with my life for the whole school day. Im going to get the money, get it all done and paid for, then walking there on game day, without a care in the world.

As somebody who was old enough to go buy my own copy of Melee when it came out, trust me: that's a bad idea.

If you live in a small town you might get one on launch. But don't be surprised if you have to try a lot of stores.

I go into my local gamestop, (which i can access, 4 gamestops in my area all within a 10minute walk/drive)

and reserve a copy. My gamestop usually gets the games a day or two before, this has happened with my prime 2, my gameboy/ds games. all that. never gotten a game late.

Believe you me, if you do not pre-order this game or reserve your copy ahead of time, then you'll regret it. When it comes out, you'll be out of luck, because obviously the game will be sold out the minutes after it hits game shelves.

It's obvious that the people who 'prefer' picking it up are just those who didn't get the opportunity to reserve the game. The result is they ask a simple question of preferance to hopefully gain a state of mental security.

Seriously, who WOULDN'T pay down money on a game to secure you a copy? Not to mention that it goes towards your purchase.

They can admit it if they want to.

I reserved mine at my local EB Games. I can't play it though until Christmas as it's a Christmas gift despite that I already know I'm getting it. I doubt I can convince my parents to let me have it earlier...it'd be nice if they did though.

I put $5 on it, can't wait to play it when I get it.

Pre-order it? With what money...? XD Besides I don't even have a Wii.

I'll have to wait until I get a Wii which could be next summer. -_-
