Hi, I have a few questions. I've been hesitant to go to tournaments lately (I am very shy, but really excited to do it) because I don't know much about them. Although I have been watching them from afar with YouTube.
I live an hour away from this event, so the closer the better, I guess.

I don't know if this is a bad thing, but, what if I don't want to enter a tournament but rather play rounds to practice? --- Since I only have my brother to play against, and Online 'For Glory' is a huge disconnect when it comes to not being able to communicate with my opponent. --- Or is this not place for that?

Do I have to pay the fee to enter? (If so, that's fine. I am just curious)

Also, is there an age restriction? I'm 20, so I don't know if I'm too young.

I agree Trig__ I am from Fremont, California and i think the surrounding area including San Jose, Milpitas and others should have a competitive scene nearby, but in all honesty i am willing to go to this tournament if i tell my boss in advance...

Your age does not matter - If you are looking to show up and see the tournament, you can be an audience member - If you are looking to pick up some 'exhibition' matches - best of luck. Depends on the TO's and availability of setups -

There are several scenes near you! There's 2 I know of in Hayward myself Both of which happen often
