Ok ppl. Try to do it that fast in melee. Its impossible because theres a stop animation which is non existant here.

You know what it's called? Foxtrotting. It existed in Melee (though you seem to be able to cancel the animation faster now in Brawl, which is useful since everything is so slow).

I'm aware of it in melee fox trotting but its faster here. I guess ppl arent lookin at it closely. its faster than that. Try to duplicate that in melee. Fox Trotting requires u to dash right after the dash animation stops but in that vid it doesnt stop as if u were dash dancing.

The only way its probably not anything new if marth has a shorter animation in this game which is possible but odd. We should think about it though. He does do it at quicker times randomly in the video. We'lll find out soon

I wasn't convinced at 0:51 really, but at 3:01 I know what I saw.

That's a double dash.

Mindgames.

It's most certainly NOT the same thing as foxtrotting.

I don't see how a possible double-dash would be remotely useful. You're not stopping or mindgaming, you're dashing and then dashing again without any delay inbetween. The only difference is that there's a 2nd dash sound. Ouh! Watch the opponent get owned!
