While I was messing around in training, I found that while doing a up-smash out of dash, if you jump cancel the up-smash and turn around you will turn around while doing the up-smash. Not that useful for sheik but is for other characters. Just posting this here to ask if it was new or if anyone else had found it.

EDIT: Here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X43YiMaJIBk

This is interesting. Can't test it myself right now personally but a video would be nice. I can already picture it though.

It sounds like a perfect pivot usmash, but done out of a dash, which is pretty cool.

Yeah, I'm probably going to put a video up. Most likely of fox and sheik. I can see alot of potential in this for fox.

So the inputs are dash>turn>jump(canceled)>usmash? Kind of like a RAR? I can see this being useful for the bros, due the properties of their heads, as well as back hit coming out faster than the front.

This is pretty cool for asymmetrical USmash hitboxes such as Fox. I personally hope the meta for this game ends up as Fox vs Sheik with a side of Captain Falcon.

This is an older tech that was known in Brawl. Nothing new, but it has its uses in some scenarios.

Is it, though? It's obviously not DACUS, so what is this called?

This definitely looks interesting for mixups. I don't know how important it would be to Sheik aside from mindgames, but definitely looks interesting for Fox, Falcon, or the Bros, as already mentioned. I could possibly see some use with this for Villager, as well.

A reverse jump cancelled up smash (at least that's the name I've heard). I think it's been known since the early days of Brawl.

It might not be new, but it's definitely useful for some characters.

This is indeed was a tech in Brawl as @ gsmVoiD gsmVoiD and @ XCounter XCounter have said shown here (shameless crew combo video plug-in). I'm pretty sure it's called reverse jump cancelled up smash as thats exactly what it is. Run -> jump -> turnaround -> upsmash. It does have its uses with character's whose upsmash covers a decent area (Fox, Yoshi, etc.). As for sheik I don't think it would make that big of a difference, but you guys can experiment and make it work for you.
