Possible New Tech: Bair Platform Cancel

hi im using my friend account cause i found something interesting, and he told me to post it so it could be tested, and determine if it is worth doing it, or if it is useless, we found it kinda situational but it may be useful.

we search for threads about something like it, and the only one that seemed to be something like the one i found is Dair Platform Stall, basically is the same but with a bair instead of a dair using snake. we also tried this with more characters but only snake can do this.

you must do it very fast, so the attack frames of the Bair come out and you can actually hit the opponent, if not, you will miss and nothing will happen.

we actually found it very useful if done right, because you can pull of bairs in platfom very quickly and recover from the bair very fast.

Good to see this carried over from melee. It's not too difficult either. Basically it could be the default for when you're on a platform with your back to your opponent, either shielding or not.

I don't remember the accepted name for the move, when you do an aerial as you jump through a platform and the aerial cancels on the platform immediately, but if you can get that to work with the bair consistently, it'd be a major boost to snake's mortarslide and vertical control game.

Oh, and if you have nothing else to do, doing the failed version in quick succession makes snake do the worm. How fitting.

yeah maybe the name isnt correct but we couldnt get something better, maybe Platform Drop Cancel xD?... and yeah it might be the default when giving your back to the opponent.

Actually this have nothing to do with tripping, because tripping is falling randomly during your dash animation, and this is doing by actually pulling the attack out and cancels it by droping through platforms but staying in the same platform without falling through it.

so i dont think that tripkick its actually a better name.

I think he meant that it just looks like he's tripping. In that case, it's not a bad name, except "Trip Kick" kind of leads one to believe that it is a kick that trips the opponent.

Maybe a "Slip Kick"? No Trip in the title to confuse it with Tripping, and relevant as you're "slipping" through the platform to perform it.

we search for techs involving something like this and we didnt find anything, even now, i searched for cromceling and nothing came up, so how could i knew that thisa was already discovered, plus we never heard of it before....

Yeah, it seems pretty neat and all, but it doesn't look like anything a player should go out trying to do.

Maybe it seems to be useless for some ppl, but i already use it when im playing against my friends and it works, just be aware when use it, dont be predictbale.

in any case, if u think its not useful, don't do it. =)
