Possible MD/VA/PA tourney need help with rules and date

My crew and I would like to try to start holding tournaments in the area. We have a possible venue that we are looking into. We were able to run a tournament there before so we don't see any reason why we couldn't hold another one. However, we can't guarantee that they won't refuse.

Now once we do get approval, making a date and going through the processes takes quite a bit of time. So we would like to have a date already picked out and the word out before then so we have plenty of notice.

What I would like to know is what would be a good date? We are hoping to try to get in something late May early June. I was looking at the 23rd and 30th?

THe other thing we were wondering is what we would be a good stage list. A lot of times in tournament threads I read about people complaining about the stage choice. I would like to avoid that by using stages that players can agree upon.

If we could get this set up, would Chu and Tant being willing to help out (entry fee of course would be waived)?

30th sounds good. Book it. I'll run the event. Count on it.

If that date doesn't work, try the next week after until you get one.

Just make sure you PM with the details of all the availabililty of the venue. (i.e. if they have TV's, chairs, tables, computers, internet, wii's, size, projectors, etc.) and how much of it we can use.

Theres a lot of us in the MD.VA.PA area that run tourneys such as Tantalus, myself, Chu, Smurf, and more. Feel free to ask anyone, everyone will be more than glad to help out.

@Tant? You have? I have held a couple tournaments but only 3 brawl ones. Mostly small local events. I did have one at a Gun club in hagerstown. I don't remember a tant in the bracket. There was only one guy who showed up to late for singles. He just sat in the corner beating my crewmate, HerfDerf. Did you happen to fill out one of the surveys? Now that I think about it I might actually have a survery from you. So where you the one who showed up late?
