Alright, after brawling on wifi a bit today, I noticed it's possible to hit an opponent while they're edgegrabbing with the down-b, while remaining on the stage. I guess this could be a "ledgespike" or some other term, just curious if this has any potential, and if this is common knowledge, please close the thread.

I didn't know that. I'll have to try it out. It could help with ledge stallers, I'll let you know how it turns out when I use it. If the quick-quake (or whatever it's called - jump and immediately down B) stage spikes them too, this could be pretty useful in certain situations..

this isn't really that useful, unless the person hangs on the edge longer than the invincibility. That doesn't happen often.

Oh, I totally get you, and it may hit once in a while, but either the opponent will respond differently, or you might as well just jump down and B or U air hoping for a stage spike

I'll have to try that on my cousins, who are smash noobs.. just to make sure they have no sanctuary from my Ganon lol. yeah, i knew there was a sort of shockwave from the aerial impact to the ground but I wouldnt have guessed it carried over the corner..
