Currently my team of...
Diddy - [wt]Colbert
and
Diddy - [wt]ZSDK
...is 10-1 on gamebattles. It works quite well. Team Potassium ftw.
We personally find that our best stage is actually Battlefield. It really helps out with banana control but we are both able to use our bananas fairly smoothly on any stage. With a little bit of practice and teamwork, Diddyx2 is awesome.
