Pokemon Trainer: Why He Doesn't Have As Much Potential As You Think

The real Achilles heel of the Pokemon Trainer is the fact not that just he has forced switching, but that switching is not safe. It's either a free hit from your opponent, or a missed opportunity for edge guarding after knocking them away. The fact that in this instance the game actually forces you to perform an unsafe action is really hampers what could otherwise be quite a good character (characters?). After all, you can't exactly control when you get a chance to switch out, your opponent isn't just going to stop and let you do your thing every two minutes.

No one is predicting top, just high, and an unsafe switch is his only Achilles heel.
