Pokemon Ranger question

Is this game any good? I was going to get it but i found out that it was different from firered and emerald version. Any1 have anwsers? Also I heard that you can get some secret pokemon if you get this and diamond and pearl. Is this true?

The game is all right, but they way you play differs from other pokemon games. The object of the game is to catch pokemon by drawing circles around them rappidly, once captured they can be used to upgrade your lines, eg fire, ice etc. And yes after completing the game you can use a code found on www.pokemon.com . The code unlocks a special mission in which you get a Manaphy that can be traded to Diamond or Pearl.

More specifically, a Manaphy egg that can be transferred to Diamond/Pearl. The game itself has an interesting design, but I don't find it too appealing. But then again, that's just personal preference. I find it to be a lot better than the Rescue Teams though.

Beat the game
Go to Ranger Net in the main menu
Press left, X and R simultaneously.
enter the code: P8M2--9D6F--43H7
Play the special mission in Ranger Net, and get the egg.

So D/P and PR have to be in the DS at the same time then? Alrighty. I guess I wont be getting a Manaphy egg anytime soon.

So you can't do pokemon battles?

No traditional battles. You play as a ranger instead of a trainer, so you don't even own any Pokemon permanently.

EDIT: With the exception of your electric rat.

I got another question is it too late to buy emarld? I lost mine 2 years ago and I want to play it so bad, but the new one for ds is coming, perhaps it's too late already?

Heavens no. You can still buy Emerald basically everywhere, and if not, I KNOW GameStop will still have them.
