Pokemon a kids game?

(Don't know if this should be in the Poke Center or not, but...)

I positive this question has been discussed a lot, but I want to confront this myself.

Is Pokemon still a kids game? A lot of people seem to just blow it off as one.

I'm just asking because I just started playing some old games (Crystal), and I was like, "Man, those were the days..." and I got hooked pretty quickly.
