I was playing against a Fox, and he just kind of fell through the center of one of the Pokemon and died. I've never seen it happen before. WTF?????

Sometimes, the game will gimp you. I've played Fox vs. Falco on Pokemon Stadium, and he spiked me through the center of the stage, like it wasn't even there.

Yeah, the seal one happens pretty often unless you avoid that section.

I'm curious to wonder what happens when this affects the outcome of the match in tourneys; is a rematch usually done?

This happened to my Fox on Brinstar Depths.

They would just continue the match.(no rematch)
It happend to Faab in a match for the 4th place against Armada @ Rox4(biggest europe tournament yet =])
