Hi. I've been playing smash for awhile now but this is the first time i've posted on smashboards. I do pretty well against marths i play but i need some more tips to beat them. Any criticisms are greatly appreciated. Sorry for the shaking of the camera and the talking lol. I'm playing falco in all the vids btw. Rate away!

The answer to beating him was already in one of your videos. Thins you should do:

-Spam lasers. I bet if you start spamming lasers, he'll start to jump/roll to you. This will make him extremely predictable. If he starts complaining about the lasers, just tell him to figure out his own way to avoid them. Abuse whatever you can.

-He counters a lot, you know why? Because you're doing the same approaches. The best way to punish him is to approach with SHL then just stand in front of him. Free Fsmash :)

-You keep Firebirding into his counter during the edge guards. Stop firebirding INTO him and just firebird upwards, then you'll get the edge and you'll have a free hit since he's still in his lag.

-Quit the attempting double shines, when you use it, you usually miss the 2nd shine anyway and just miss a combo oppurtunity. A good simple combo against him would be Shine > Double Jumped Dair > Utilt > Uair

-When he's chain throwing you, DI upwards and slightly behind him, then try to time the shine and you should be able to escape within the mid 20%

-Whenever he's at a high percentage, stop trying to go for easy kills. Sure somtimes it'll work, but most of the time he just gets a chain grab on you. Play normally and remember, all of your moves are killing moves. Not just Fsmash, Dair, etc.

-Instead of doing a normal shield while he's recovering, use the light shield. It lasts longer.

-Mix up your recoveries and learn how to shorten your Phantasm

If I was playing your friend, I would spam lasers and see what he would do. If he rolled, Fsmash. If he jumped, full jump Dair. Think of all the possibilities rather than playing by habit. Hope this helps ;).

You side-step alot. Work on your edge-guarding. Try to trade hits with your dair and his up+b on his recovery. Its a good way to gimp @ low percents. :)

I saw you have a bit of trouble with Marth's CG. Don't just DI left, right, left, right. Change it up. Sometimes don't di, sometimes left twice...you know?

Don't forget, you can shine out of his Chain-grab at 27% if you don't DI.
