Me (Piffman2) as Metaknight vs a lvl 9 Lucario on battlefield with smash balls only and me vs a lvl 9 Marth on battlefield with no items. 3 stocks both times. I'm not very good yet but I want to start looking into competetive play so I thought I should post some videos for people to critique. I know lvl 9 computers aren't that hard but there aren't any smashers around me that I know of. I know my camera isn't that good but I don't have capture equipment. Feedback is appreciated. This is my first time posting videos of my matches:)

1. there are ALWAYS people around you who play smash. Even if there wasn't, it seems that this crazy internet thing is finally up and running.

2. Facing lvl 9's is NEVER a good idea and you can't base skill off of it. try facing lvl 1 - 6's to get spacing/timing down. Playing computers on high levels just teaches you bad habits.

3. Repost some online matches. I know, and so does everyone else, that they are laggy and not always the best, but I would definitely watch that over you vs a ******** monkey.

Good luck

Playing against computers doesn't always show your strengths and weknesses so try to play against a friend who has the game as well. Very nice edgehog, was quick and seamless, try linking that with an edgeguard to keep the opponent off the stage as well as the ledge. Nice vid =). Psy.

You have one bad habit that I know many smashers have in this game. You try to get your spacing right with an approach, then you get attacked before pulling off your attack. After that happens, you try constantly to pull off that attack, but the first person to initiate their attack wins out usually, so you are just DIing straight into their attack, leaving you open to more attacks.
Also, as said before, you can't base skill off of how well you kill CPUs. Can't emphasize that enough.
