In the first match early you didn't follow up after you utilt which would have been a nice chase. At :29, you jumped into a fair and had a nice shot at a Ken combo but let her off the hook. Once you got her up there try to pursue into a kill move of sorts.

Spacing would help a lil more as someone said as well especially with a SHFFLed fair. Could be a start of a combo if you sweet spot that more.

I watched your 2nd Match against Rick. Just commenting as I watch lol.

1. Your DI at the very start was incorrect. You could have avoided that nasty tipper by DIing down and away, remember that for future dittos :).

2. You were dash attacking alot. Although I wouldn't say NEVER use dash attack, it's pretty laggy and easy to punish. Try approaching with a Dash - > DTilt to mix things up.

3. Your spacing was a little off, there were numerous oppertunities for a Shield Grab which your opponent luckily didn't capitalise upon.

But all in all, you have a nice Marth. A little predictable maybe, but practice will quickly rid you of that habit. Good work!

You have a cool Marth, but two thinks I noticed you lack. The double fair. You NEED to do more SHFFL double fairs. Its the base of any good Marth game. Replace that dash attck you keep doing with SHFFL fairs. It won't really work on faster Marths. I'm shocked your opponent didn't make a mindgame out of your habit. But no worries...practice makes perfect.

And two...work on your edge guarding. You had loads of oppertunities to bair your opponent to death but didn't take it. :/

All in all...keep smashing. ^^

your heading in the right direction. thos e were great sets, but i did notice some things you should look out for. you spacing needs to improve. try not to always be on the offensive, you'll make yourself too prodictable. also, when you killed your opponent, try to get away from them as soon as they respawn, cause i did see you going in for the attack right when they respawned (not all the time, but a few times) marth is a character of patience, and you need to known when to attack and when not to, especially against opponents that you know are highly-ranked. GRAB MORE!! you'll get more combos! more combos means more kills! i think i can relate to you alot cause i play marth as well and you seem to have my playing style to some extent.

i hope that helps!

Double fair is not the base of a good Marth game, it's not even really important to know how to do outside of doing it in combos. Dash attack is also an amazing move. It is just high risk high reward, as it sets up into heavy % dealing combos. It works on faster Marths if you know where to use it. Unless... you know... Mew2King isn't a fast Marth...

Hmm I see. Well I dunno about you, but to me, the double fair is more important. Especially retreating fairs, it keeps people out when used in the right sequence. Plus its Marth's best aerial to chain into grabs at low percents. Dash attack is an awesome move, but so easy to counter when spammed, just like any other move, I guess. lol. All in all, DF is my favorite aerial of Marth's and it rarely lets me down. Neverthelss, I really value and respect your opnion. ^^

Be less predictable. It usually leads to not getting hit as much. Imagine a crackhead playing and imitate that.

Hmm, lol, a Falco player in a Marth thread. I started using Marth like a month or so. I noticed some mistakes/nice things.

You have nice tech skills, you can WD almost perfectly, you got the JC grab down, etc, I think you didn't miss an L-cancel, and that's nice. You're doing a great job.

In the first vid I saw, vs Peach in Brinstar, when you SD for the first time, you got desperated. Results? You SD again. Play it safe.
I saw you using your tilts. But, you FSmashed... a lot. Same goes to Rick. Use those tilts. They are obviusly less laggy than FSmash, miss a Smash, get punished. I saw you edgeguarded the Fox with the jab. Nice job. That's my favorite Edgeguard. Like someone said, you missed some Bair instant kills.

But wait, what the fock? We need to practice, all of us. Just keep that Marth up. Your doing well, and that Marth will kick *** in future tourneys.

I also saw your Falco. Try to lower down those Lasers for better results and abuse those tilts.

pretty good. make sure to remember to uptilt alot on peach above 120%.

more poking is always good.

in tournament matches you should try to learn opponents patterns a little quicker. game 2 peach kept air dodging ur fsmash.

fsmash less out of the blue. its great when a random one hits. but it rarely does.

good marth still though, good combos sometimes.
