Probably so due to you will naturally adapt.

Spacing just takes experience and practice. I used to practice my spacing by setting up a dummy human in a vs match and attacking by selecting points I wanted to hit with the very tip..but thats me.

Simple tip in marth dittos: Don't let the stupid f-throw own you. Di down.
If he doesn't know about the di- down with the f-throw, hes not a decent marth.. and you'll be able to f-throw him across the stage many times and f-smash him easily. If he does, upthrowing is your best bet, following him with up-tilts to start combos.

F-smash, that point of the sword can take out the best of people at 30%
Marth is quick, no point standing around
Counter when you know they're going to attack, it works well against hammers for example
and the block+down dodge works wonders
forward+B to help get back on the edge
the light A attacks are good for combos

Marth's chain throwing is still an important part of his game.

jump-canceled grabs are always better then the dashing grab?? I mean I know its faster with less lag (hence why its good for chain-throwing) but there is certain situations were the normal dashing grab is better, than a jump canceled grab?

and always F throw to F smash works wonders

Retro king, you hurt my eyes..especially with the hammer remark.

Do NOT counter unless its against falco's laser/link's rising up-b or part of a mindgame. You have better options, like hitting them over risking the counter.

I'm pretty sure the topic creator already knows how to spotdodge and use a rising over b to help recovery.

And no, in marth dittos, chain throwing isn't an important part of the match due to it doesn't exist with down di, that simple.

The only time dashing grab is better would be for crouching jigglies, kirbies and maybe sheiks. Marth's lunge brings him closer to the ground and enables him to grab them. Don't make a habit of it though.
