Hey everyone, jut thought I'd post my most recent good competitive matches to show you my play style and advice.

Player-1 (Diddy) Vs Jumpman (Wolf)

Set 1:

Game 1-

Game 2-

Game 3-

Set 2:

Game 1-

Game 2-

Things I am currently working on:

- Dribbling, in these matches I didn't use it much because it was still new to me and wasn't ready for a real competitive match
- More creativity with bananas, such as more down glide tossing.
-Less predictable smashes
-Less rolling
-To be able to identify the opponent's strategy (got down), and adapt and punish it.

I'll get some more up some time

Not a bad diddy but I think the wolf player could'Ve done better...especially when it comes to recovering and using shine. Not a bad Wolf though

Hes ranked number 1 on GB, and is probably top 3 in the country, please dont speak unless you know what you're talking about and keep in mind that this is the diddy boards not the wolf boards so critisize the right person.

(wolf shine = phail on my diddy's bananas).

I wouldn't >B so much when you jump from the ledge. This wolf didn't catch on, but other players may and punish you for it. All-in-all, good matches:O!

Yeah i know, he wasnt doing anything about it so i decided to keep doing it.

lol @ top 3 in the country

Advice:

Stop rolling into him
Less flip kicks, especially from the ledge
Don't leave bananas behind/ get better banana placement. You would pull out two, then use one on him while the other sat their until it withered away.
Don't ftilt from so close. I think some of them were supposed to be dash attacks.
Don't grab as an approach without reason (punish or after banana)
More usmash
When you're up close, you seem to just smash c-stick down 10 times in a row until it works. Do more rolling backwards and spot dodging. This was the reason for most of your deaths.
Don't get into projectile wars with Wolf. You will lose.

This might've been the lag, but sometimes you kept dash tossing or rolling around 3-4 times with a banana. Failed glidetoss or lag?

Your Diddy looks like mine when I'm trying to play against a really good wolf.

I'm so uncoordinated and all over the place against wolf's.

lol.

I already said rolling...

I already said i kept monkey flipping because he didnt do anything about it so in this case it is a good idea...

Id rather get 30% damage with dash combos than grabbing a banana that might not even hit.
Small amount of lag turns dash attack into ftilt

Grabbing = combo into dash attack and saves smashes for finisher

I dont see the point in Usmash, utilt can combo easier

Lag = fail smash so i do that

Wolf has a better spot dodge but i agree on the rolling

Small amount of lag

Usmash is better than Utilt if you're looking to rack up damage when your opponent's % is past the 50% mark. Why? Because Utilt hits the opponent (depending on weight, confirm if this is false on heavier characters) high enough where they can easily DI/air dodge any incoming aerials. Personally I start to hold my utilts after 60% so they don't become stale IF I need to use it as a KO move. I tend to space my dash-attack so the 3rd hit connects, and I can follow through with a SH dair or fair. If I know it's not going to connect, I stick with usmash.
