Is there a timing difference when you platform waveshine someone and when you platform waveshine nothing?

It seems like i can always platform waveshine nothing but when i hit someone, i tend to either airdodge after the shine or fail to jump out of it more.

Is there a timing difference?

The timing between the shine and the jump changes due to hitlag.

So the consequence is that you may not jump out of it at all; solution is that you delay the jump a bit.

yeah. it's really close though (i have similar success rates for both, at least), so i'd say it's more likely you're just slipping up because you're under more stress when you're actually hitting someone.

or maybe your timing is way sharper than mine haha

Yeah, normally the timing is so small that it won't affect you unless you already frame perfectly JC your shines.

Otherwise, most Foxes aren't really affected by the hitlag; it's probably just the pressure like FoxLisk said.
