Platform laser drop (BUT WHICH DROP to USE?)

I got a question drop with isai drop or the -45degree and 225 degree with reference angle 90 drop( I think its called shai drop). Anyway which one is faster?


Edit: I forgot to mention that the senario is falco short hop lasering on the platform then proceed to falling down the platform into a laser drop... basically I wanna know which drop will get me out of the landing lag of the short shop laser on the platform so i can immediately drop down the platform to laser

i think they both fall with the same speed. My head tells me Isai dropping is faster, but I feel like that's wrong.

Whichever allows you to clear the platform in fewer frames and/or fast fall after the fall through is the faster option.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Shai dropping and Isai dropping are for two different situations.

Shai dropping is a guaranteed way to drop from shield where you are originally holding straight in front of your character then you rotate to 45 degrees below horizontal to fall through the platform.

Isai dropping is from normal landing lag or a landing projectile cancel (like Falco's shl). Where you quickly go from forward to down (I actually tap 45 degree down and down to fastfall aerials, obviously you don't for lasers) during the landing frames to cancel the landing lag.

While you actually could do Shai dropping for laser canceling I guess since you can cancel the landing lag by shielding, you can't for normal landing lag. So I feel like doing Shai dropping for lasers is adding an unnecessary step in the laser platform game.

Well, you could be dash dancing on a platform and dash away to Shai drop reverse laser. Mind games son.

I guess? It's also useful to know how to shield drop through platforms in general, so shield drop to laser can't be too bad in and of itself.

i do running shield drops for all my platform lasers (shai drops)
it does the same thing as isai drops except its slightly slightly slower and you carry a little more momentum
