Pivot Canceling wat

Everyone knows about pivot canceling in Brawl. You run, you turn around, and do whatever.

I never really thought this was useful for much, but then I started to screw around with it.

An example of simple pivot canceling is this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ja5u...e=channel_page

That's a pivot canceled forward smash.

But here's a more tempting idea.

Bowser's utilt hits on he ground behind him, correct? His utilt is also a kill move/decent juggler.

Utilt can be done from a dash, and still hit.

When Bowser pivots, he turns around (obviously), and that is perfect for his utilt.

The utilt can be done almost immediately out of the pivot animation, thus a pseudo dashing utilt.

As shown by the posted video, utilt is not the only move possible. Pretty much any grounded move is possible but I found utilt to be the most effective and applicable.

I'm sure this is fairly common sense, though I felt I should post to inform the uninformed.

The thing is, it takes fairly long for Bowser's uptilt to actually reach the ground. At least, long enough so the opponent can see you coming and shield.

True, but this is more suited towards an anti aerial approach; as in, more effectively using utilt for its intended purpose.

This is also to be used for a surprising kill; i've used it on occasion.

However, definitely not to be spammed.

Yea Video Didn't work for me either.

Bowser's Pivots Could Created a whole New Foundation for Bowser Play.
I was Messing with this also and In some very difficult way u can make Bowser Slide Foward while doing
a Standing grab Animation.

The up tilt Seems more useful though and maybe easier to do. Why didn't i think of that.....

The pivots are pretty cool... What I should try next is with specials. So far all I've tried is tilts, etc. Dtilt is okay, but you're going to have to reverse yourself from the pivot which takes a little longer to execute. Also, how far is the grab range slide?

If these things do work, they are probably performed using the same method as Squirtle's shellshifting stuff.

This is really weird for me because I was actually just screwing around with this in training mode this morning seeing who got a boost in their standing grabs (I could only get a boost with Bowser, DK, Diddy, MK and Yoshi, and it doesn't look very useful :x).

I'll see what I can do for other moves and such when I'm bored later on tonight

Oh yeah, I've seen that video before. But as said in the previous thread, wifi only for me and I can't see this being done on there.
