Smash Apprentice
I just got home from playing the new smash on 3ds....
HOLY ****! I'm blown away.
I'm sorry but whoever said this game mechanics are closer to brawl probably smoked a bunch of crack before hand.
The speed was intense, the controls were amazing. the analog stick took some time getting use to but overall it was jump right in fun.
dash dancing takes a bit if not a lot of practice but its easier depending on the speed of the character. but it is in the game EDIT* 8/31/14 (the dancing video i posted below in the comments is more like the brawl in place dancing, there were times the distance was larger but it was extremely difficult to keep up... could have been a demo glitch..but i didn't want to clarify this after going back to play the demo again....the inplace dashing was extremely effective for the new mechanic below though..without a video its hard for me to elaborate)
Pivot cancel - allows you to run one way and turn around into a forward smash.
so if your running towards the edge and you time it just perfect your character turns around and hits the opponent with a forward smash.
I also got a few more details. but i don't want anyone loosing there jobs. but there are supposedly a few more mechanics that will make this game very competitive.
amiibos also will train to level 50 and beyond and yes that is like level 9 plus 41.
so as you learn you will also learn from your kick ass amiibo. but i was playing smash while listening to this part so my bad I can't elaborate.
played with everyone except luigi and donkey kong.
everyone really felt speedy.
Ive been playing project M. and it felt like the successor to melee and brawl and M
i think nintendo is listening to the Smash community
just sharing ... hands are still shaking from happiness
