That's hilarious. It's possible that he has a few invincibility frames there.

I also find it funny that the only english errors were in the apology for any english errors.

The idea is to do it before the arrow hits, I'm sure. Whereas arrows are usually a great source of damage for Pit, against lucas they either hurt him or heal lucas, and the choice is in the hands of the lucas.

I've noticed in the Black Knight trophy, it says that his holy sword was Ettard. His blessed sword was Alondite, not Ettard. Ettard was a specialty sword only usable by Ike. Ettard was special only in that only Ike could use it, but it still was much worse than Ragnell.

There certainly were English translation errors, and as I don't read many trophies there may be much more.

Nope. His head is moving into the background a very small amount. It just so happens that the arrows are so thin that they avoid touching his head as they pass. Angle them downwards as they go through Lucas and they'll still hit him.

Totally useless fact but this actually happened in Melee as well. A handful of characters could evade Fox's lasers with their sidestep dodge one frame before they became invincible, because they had moved into the background enough to avoid something that thin.

In the Japanese version of the game it was actually the other way around.

I have absolutely no idea why they switched the names around for the NA version. <_>

There must indeed be invincibility frames in Lucas' Fsmash. I uploaded a video for you all to see that clearly shows this. In it, Lucas (played by me) avoids damage twice from Pikachu's thunder attack (I don't know the name).

The first on is at 1:02 and the second is at 2:48. Not the best match, I know. :p It wasn't very serious.

If you try to activate the down-b on that exact moment showed on the first topic, you will get hurt by the arrow. :( ...
I'm having trouble with this too. I can't seem to get the PsiM out fast enough to absorb arrows. How do the rest of you Lucas players deal w/ this? Every Pit that I have played uses arrows religiously and it's really difficult to do anything with a bunch of arrows zooming at your face.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I need to learn some effective way to combat this before I tear my hair out.

Predict the arrow.
If you don't have enough time do activate PsiM, try Fsmash as showed (or spotdodge).

I think Fsmash is slower; I can try spot dodging, but I don't know just HOW much that will help.

Just shield one then jump and psi M.
I will try this, too. Sounds like this can work, seeing as how I can jump towards the Pit. Then do a spotdodge or rolldodge whenever he approaches, depending on the situation.

Any other suggestions? I don't play against Pits regularly, so I don't have much practice with this sort of thing.

Pit can't out-camp lucas. It's exacly as techno said: Shield the first, then magnet till they want to approach you.

BTW, when they do, start to fire camp them until they try to arrow you a bunch, which is when you repeat.

And what if they wise up and "approach" with Angel Ring or Mirror Shield? :p Mind games at their finest? Heh. Just don't forget that Pit can counter Lucas' projectiles too.
