Okay, so I've been checking the guides and all. However, when I start the combo, I can get the first dair, and maybe the second shine, but then my opponet just DIs out, what am I doing wrong? Am I just not fast enough? (I did look in the stickies before you go flaming)

EDIT: Sorry, dair shine combo then. o_0 Sorry, I'm a noob.

Pillaring = shield pressure

You're talking about shine-spike combos

There can be many reasons why you can't follow up, but i guess your not fastfalling early enough.

not pillaring, sorry.

practice wavedashing further and immediately do a dash and sh dair into the next shine.

your opponent can only DI far enough to have to chase them in the direction of the shine that they are on, so if they DI behind you (or in front if they were behind you when you shined them) then they won't go very far, otherwise be prepared to chase them if they

hopefully that makes sense... if not i can reword or someone else will answer for you

edit:/ **** you falcinho you got the first post on this thread!

So basically, when they DI away, chase them over and keep them in the air?

Dair > shine > wavedash follow them > dair > shine. Only works on fastfallers.

If you're looking to do it on more floaty characters, watch some matches on YouTube to see which ones are actually viable. It's pretty easy once you've seen it and know how to do it.

Generally with fastfallers who DI, wavedashing, following your opponent while they're still receiving hitstun and following up with another Dair>Shine works well. If they don't DI too far, then a double jump out of a shine into a Dair>Shine will work as well.

With more floaty characters; however, a double jump to a dair and up tilt chain together nicely.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=SIAzTaaVI0Q - Old BS example for you. He combos both Fox and Marth.

Hope that helps.

D-air shine below like 30% or something, otherwise get good at Dair-uptilt, if they go a little too high use a U-air.

One more question:

Once I shine, do I just have to guess which way to wavedash? Or is there a certain way to make sure they go to a certain place?

you cant really force them to go a direction, it depends on their DI. you can take into consideration the terrain, like ledges and platforms, to help you decide which way to WD or if you should be jumping out instead, but in a neutral stage like final destination, youd really have to guess. just so you know, most people reflexively DI away from you char, its pretty instinctual, so id start there. they also can distance themselves more going away from you than passing over you, but if your opponent is DIing away from you and you keep chasing them, expect them to eventually DI toward you, or not at all.

But how do I know which WAY they're going to DI away from me?

i kinda know what ur talking about, that used to happen 2 me also i would only hit them 2 times and it was over the way i beat this was waveshinning its the fastest way out of a shine and you can start to run immidiatly because of the little to none lag then u can chase your oppnt. Di and continue your combo

i mean to say that when the shine hits them on the ground, you are on one side or the other, and they are most likely to di "away" from you than toward you. in other words, if you are facing them when you shine, then they will most likely di in the direction you are facing, and if your back is to them when you shine, they will most likely di in the opposite direction you are facing
