I made a thread for Pikmin after seeing that there isn't a Pikmin thread here.

Pikmin is a Real Time Strategy Game developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo Gamecube about an alien from the planet Hocotate named Captain Olimar. While he was riding in his spaceship,the S.S Dolphin a meteor collided with his ship and he crash landed on an unknown planet. The planet had oxygen on it which was poisonous to Olimar and his species and he only had 30 days to escape. Luckily,he discovered creatures called Pikmin to help him find all his missing ship pieces.

Discuss about Pikmin,Pikmin 2,and the upcoming Pikmin 3. Also discuss about all the enemies,bosses,the diffferent type of Pikmin and anything that has to do with the Pikmin Franchise.

I know,the Pikmin franchise is awesome. But I wish Nintendo will reveal more about Pikmin 3 though. Oh well,I guess I'll just wait until E3 2010

I think it'd have potential to either be very bad, or very good. Maybe with the touch screen to be integrated with a sort of throwing mechanism. That might work, though I doubt they'd move towards a Handheld direction.

It would be weird, and I really think since they've been ****ing around this whole time not doing anything, they wouldn't move to handhelds. In my opinion, they'll probably move it towards a late Wii title, or a Next-Gen console.

Have they actually confirmed a Pikmin 3?

That's awesome if they have, right now I'm playing through the first one again, it's been going well so far but I suffered heavy losses on the Armored Canon Beetle because of a mis-toss on his first inhale, and also on the **** ****ing **** Snagrets.

Almost done with Forest Navel, only have Beady Long-Legs and a part I can't remember left to get.

I'm playing the NPC version, man, the Gamecube version was so much..better.

My thoughts on Pikmin Series:

Pikmin 1: One of the best GCN launch games (it was one of them, right?) If it didn't time you in 30 days it'd be the best strategy game hand's down.

Pikmin 2: Everything I wanted in Pikmin 1. Everything. Why this game never got a 10 baffles me.

Pikmin 3: Why are you not released yet? v.v

Pikmin 1 having a limited amount of time is what made it good.

I understood it was Reggie and assumed he was trying to make NPC seem important.

Well, alright, my hopes are now up.

I have Pikmin 1 and recently beat it (after owning it for a few years) and want Pikmin 2.

In pikmin 2 I know it's not timed, 2 new colors are introduced, and two player modes arrive.

Am I missing anything important?

Not really, no. Unlimited days, addition of white and purple Pikmin, and Co-op/Versus.

Only major ones are Caves and Louie being a second man.
