OK, this has nothing to do with anything, but it's pretty danged funny. 
Go into training mode with Olimar and give both characteres the Franklin Badge. Then have the opponent get pretty close to you and use Olimar's Pikmin Throw. The Pikmin will ricochet off each other several times before it dissapears, makinga "clang" noise each time it hits. Go on, try it.
EDIT: Actually, you can do this with almost anybody: Mario's fireballs, Fox's laser, etc. But that's not as funny as watching a poor defenseless pikmin ricochet off one another.
