Pikmin 2 Q + A

Alright, I searched and did not find a thread.

Everyone knows Pikmin 2, and the introduction of Olimar into SSBB made me go back and play it. I'm just starting out...for the third time >_< My memory card keeps corrupting my save files.

One question however, I DO have the game guide from Nintendo Power. On the Boss Battle with Ranging Bloyster, it says to "distract" RB with one group and attack it's bulb with the other. Wouldn't that mean sacrificing tons of Pikmin? How exactly does that work?

Oh, and also, Fiery Bulblax's scare the absolute **** out of me, is there a really easy way to defeat one? Thanks!

the RB is a boss that pwnd a lot of my pikmin, but i got a trick to kill firey bulblaxs that is kinda risky, throw purples on its head and crush it, ur purples catch fire but just blow your whistle to save them, plus the stun time given to the bulblax after getting crushed gives you the chance to call them back before eaten, just repeat that, i'd only advise throwing 5 at a time to avoid to much chaos though
