I have heard that his up smash is the less useful of the bunch. I also heard that his side and down smashes make up for it.

the fsmash was always pretty good...i liked the less knockback from the dsmash too b/c it was easier to combo from. Is it more of a kill move now, or does it do more damage?

Well i read that U smash isnt as strong as it use to be. I have read and seen videos of Dmash having alot more knock back it sends them flying in a random direction. I really dont care about Usmash.Hell yea it was a killer in melee for sure but i would rather have Side smash have more power since it has a greater range

Agreed, F-smash is more valuable in Brawl. But its range is godly; I don't mind the nerfed U-smash. Also, it is slightly weaker that in melee, but don't count it out. It's still pretty powerful.

Upsmash got nerfed, Thunder got buffed, equals out. Thunderspiking is viable still.

D-Smash is damaging, but the least knockback of the 3.
F-Smash has the power, range, most start-up of the 3.
U-Smash is quick as hell, average in power, and seems least ranged.

All in all they balance out as above average for the three together. U-Smash is weaker, but not useless.

pikachu is awsome his up-smash still is good although its hard to connect. The only thing I used it for when played brawl is down grab to up-smash if they dont tech another that works also, is up-tilt if there above you to up-smash works then end it with a thunder works wonders, although you still better watch out because at early percentages they can either air-dodge or DI away or if there characters like Zelda, Fox, Wolf, Pit, Mario... Im sure theres more with characters that have reflectors but im lazy to name it will hit pikachu.... but still you can hit the D-smash to Thunder works easier unless they DI out or ect. Trust me pikachu will be really good ive survived at over 190% but thats only getting hit to the sides tho, now getting hit straight up well thats another story hes just too light

Pika is alot about the speed...... and i like the sound of his U-smash being "quick as hell" that means more chances to give damage and string combos.
D-smash- i already loved it in melee and buff to it at all makes it so much greater :)
The new buff of more vertical distance and knock back will get us pika so many more kills:)
F-smash-if it actually has more range than it use to,and it sounds as if it a slight bit faster it will be such an awesome move.

The Up Smash still has the lag at the end despite the nerf. But it can still be used as a last resort killing move since Pikachu can combo well.

up smash isnt as what it used to be. Maybe because of the slow gameplay but i was able to do jolt to up smash connections in melee but now it feels impossible.

Up smash is maybe slightly hardly slower but it doesnt **** as much as it used to. Thunder got buffed so its more usable and down smash looks like it does heavy damage but it does the same range but with more "lag" when ur doing it (it looks like slow motion lol)

Back air now does multiple damages when you connect it properly. Usually in melee, it does one heavy blow and ultimate lag if you didnt L cancel but now its like a combo 6-7 hits because it calculates the spins now.

Nair is still useful and should always be in your pika's game. Up air is much harder to land tail spikes. (once again, it might be because of the slower gameplay iunno)

I love Pika's D-Smash!!! I like his U-Smash and F-Smash, too. I just to spam the D-Smash and irritate my opponents : )
and how is Pka's Thunder buffed? Just damage, or what? Please, explain...

from my experience, if you hit someone with a usmash when the opponent is behind pikachu (when the opponent gets hit by the ending frames of the usmash's spin) it performs a very weak knockback

I think pika's Up-smash is still as strong as it used to be (or at the least just slightly weaker), you just have to remember that repeated spamming of the same move produces diminishing returns. Basically, you can't spam up-smash to rack up damage and then expect it to immediately maintain the same KO potential.

I love using Dsmash the most, it is the coolest one. I mainly use Dsmash and Fsmash, never used up because it seemed useless to me in brawl. Maybe I will start trying it tonight when my friends and bro get here.

Pika's thunder was ridiculously buffed, sure damage is less, knockback is less, but now instead of being easily punished like it was in melee it is ALOT harder to punish do to the recovery time bein like .25 seconds instead of the pervious like 5 seconds of standing there. This also makes it more easily spammable.
