Throughout the match, i notice that pikachu loses some damage on his fsmash

I dont know if this is just for pika or for all characters, but does it eventually "recharge"? also, does this happen with all of his attacks? is there a special term for this?

sorry if that sounded noobish, but i am new to smash

its the diminishing effect you might be talking about. It happens to all characters. Every move that hits a person gets decreased in power AND knockback. Using 9 different moves without using aforementioned move will recharge it to full power. All attacks count too.

thanks for the info, but i am a little confused on what a "move" exactly is

is it an attack? or do jumps, shields, rolls, spot dodges count too? also, do the 9 moves all have to be different? like can you have more than one neutral a in the 9? if you cant have more than one of the same move, does it reset everytime you duplicate a move? for example, if the recharging of fsmash is in question, if you do a,nair, bair, fair, dair,a,b,side b, up b,down b, does it reset after you do the second a and you have to do another 9 after that to reset the f smash? or does is reset, regardless of repeating a

A 'move' is an attack. An attack does damage. Just don't spam the same move over and over again and you won't notice a significant change.

Just follow the grime...
I hate that, as pikachu is a character that lends himself to spamming, especially when your playing guys like marth, the plan is shoot some electricity his way and camp with dsmash and thunder. Good news is, Any hits recharge the others, so 9 little projectiles will work, and if you mix in some aerials, it really isn't too hard to play around and overcome. Just remember to add a little variety.

Sorry to poop your guys' party, but Pikachu's Fsmash gets weaker after every use, not just from stale move negation
The first time you hit with Pikachu’s side smash attack, you’ll hit with an attack strength of 20%—quite an impressive rating! There aren’t many other standard moves that can deal that kind of damage.

After the first hit, the attack strength will decrease to 17%, then 14%. Just remember it’s best to hit in quick succession.

It might not be just the diminish feature in Brawl. F-smash also has a sweetspot, which lies close to Pikachu and isn't always so easy to hit. Despite that, it's a lot stronger than the outer bolt and can kill at way lower % than the non-sweetspot.

Correct me if I'm wrong?
