Here is a video of what I learned about the lil yellow rat enjoy.

down forward tilt- sometimes if there taller you can hit there legs with a f-tilt depends on height, and hits backwards.

footstool n-air

fake thunder- rotate down forward to down to down back and b for the thunder
the reason for this is the fast fall is included already while performing this move thats why he falls faster

quick attack to n-air- if your short in your quick attack just short hop to n-air

theres the double quick attack forward-
just do the quick attack 2 on the ground or quick attack down forward twice

quick attack to footstool to n-air

Foot stools are somewhat unrealistic. You won't be getting them in game. If you perfect the fake thunder it could be nice. It seems like you mess up about half the time though : /. Still some good techniques other than footstooling. I think the fake thunder was found already.

Video was too long imo; the forward tilt thing is interesting but I doubt it'll really be that useful. That footstool nair doesn't seem very useful...why not just do a nair by itself instead? Anyways Quick Attack Cancel and reverse thunder have already been found, also didn't I play you at Chapman a few weeks ago? The really campy thundershock pikachu?

I played alot of people at chapman and other places also. But hey its like I say "whatever works".Until you find a way to beat me to it, besides thunder shock is good to kill if your up there but I mostly use it if your in the air and above the stage which isnt that much only if you didnt DI correctly tho thats when I mostly connect with it. So I dont know if it was me. Besides, its a tourney theres no oh thats cheap or whatever, just do watever it takes to win thats the whole point.. Dont hate on me cause the way I play just find away to get around it. Besides I see so many others also do the same thing but I dont complain about it,I may lose to those people, but when I lose, I dont make any excuses, I see it as a opportunity to figure a way out of it. So I dont know who you are but if you lost to me or not dont complain about it, figure a way what you can do about it. I play so many other characters also, besides pikachu also. And its funny how people like to say oh you can do this better or this ect. When all I am saying is what works for me at tourneys. And also if a technique has been shown already oh well its not like I read or go to smashboards everyday and try to see what other people have found and Im not goin to search if theres something where I think I discovered it ,and be like I was first one to discover it, if its been there then good if not then well here it is and this is how you do it. Hopefully it will help other people play better with this character, Im just here to help discover things and pay back what you guys have helped me in the past in melee. If it wasnt for this I wouldnt have been as good in melee as I was before. Now brawl is new and I want to help out in return. Nothing more, nothing less. Oh yeah your welcome if you liked what you saw, if not oh well. You rarely ever hear anymore thank yous for finding this and instead its always negative repsonses back after you find something, although I could of just kept it to myself ,but id rather share it and help other people get better.

This is exactly why I don't share info anymore.

But at the same time WTFJ, you could've put it somewhere in your post that you're not sure if this is new or not.

Nowadays people feel that the first person they see do something in a video is the first person to have ever done it.

In some cases it's true. It's not always true though

I think everyone should calm down and remember the humility that everyone showed in the melee pika boards and try to carry it over here to the brawl boards.

Let's calm down now, I dont think anyone has been laying claims or trying to be called "the first one" to do things. We're all just trying to find the best way that we can to help our pikas. Let's not attack people for posting something they think is useful, or if they do end up finding something useful they might not post it next time. If it ends up being something that was already found out then its ok to politely let them know, most likely the topic will end up dying on its own then and no one will care too much about who claimed what.

And if it is new and you don't think there's any application for it, there's no need to criticize it. It's still good that we know about it, and who knows maybe in the future someone will find an application. From the sounds of it people knew about QAC for a month and only recently have we started to tap into it's potential.

Anyways, thanks WTFJ for the video, I think most people knew about several of those techniques already, but the down forward tilt seemed kind of cool.

And scissors Im sorry you feel that way or if any thread here made you feel that way, but I hope in the future you'll feel more comfortable to let us know if you do find something that might help the rest of us out.

I could care less about who discovered what, I just want as many people as possible to know about new techniques. So when WTFJ comes in here and posts this as his first post(as far as I can tell) on the pikachu boards, it comes off as lazy. He could at least perform a simple search to see if maybe, just maybe, some of this stuff has already been discovered. That's all I'm saying.

im not trying to come off as a cocky person cause if anyone that does know me im actually a humble person.... but also a lazy person also... so yes i didnt look it up if it was already founded because i didnt care i just wanted to show what i know... i didnt care if i was the first to find it or not.... or if it had a name or not cause as you can see in the video i mention you can name it watever you want but that is just what i call it.... oh yeah your welcome to the people that gave me props on it thats all i wanted to was to be helpful to people and i hope that you learned something whether or not its been founded or not by me. I know the QAC has been out for awhile now but thats not what i was showing if you noticed i said as you all know about the quick attack cancel this is whatelse you can do with it. Meaning I knew people knew about it but theres something else you can do also with it like the quick attack to n-air if your quick attack was short and a quick attack to footstool jump to a n-air if on higher percentage it will KO, OK, cause I havnt seen people do this yet so Im just showing it.. Oh yea and one more thing friendly or not tournament or not, always try your best cause I know I do cause i used to give chances but then people got way too cocky and started think there better then me, then when I beat them they are like WTFJ? So I now give no more chances and not be nice anymore so now theres no more excuses how you lose you could of prevented it from happening, if not practice more so you dont make those mistakes anymore, cause now I dont complain if I lose anymore, I learn from it and find a way to beat that strategy.

At least i didnt hear the most stupidest saying here yet NO JOHNS... who ever made that saying is so dumb and it sounds so dumb hearing it from people. Also it doesnt even sound intelligent to say or to hear it from anyones mouth. Sorry for the bad punctuation cause Im just that lazy... hahaha
I may have less posts here is its because i use to be by another name but since brawl came out i made a new name now so im old here at the boards but just a new tag name for the new game.

Quit drinking the hatorade. His video was a good instructional. I don't know what's making you come back to this thread since you obviously didn't like the video.

Good job on the video WTFJ? I appreciate what you were doin'.

Sometimes looking at things from a fresh perspective can reveal things that can't be seen by anyone else. When you aren't up to date with the "curren't advanced techniques", sometimes you can discover things from a new angle that those who are up to date would have never found. Especially when the game is as new as this one is now. ;)

Keep it up. :)

Well the boards are different from what they were in melee. Because pikachu was low tier in melee it was a pretty tight community, but I imagine we're going to get a lot more people on here now.

that 'fake thunder thing' could be used as a massive stall thing, you could make a nearly impassable wall if you do it quick enough. i'm gonna try and see what happens. could be a camping technique.

your welcome to all the people that supported me... whether i found it or not i hope you learned something new the fake thunder is sooooo good because when i use it they either get hit or block and when they block i go for the grab and throw down and then you can, consistently short hop to the up-air you can get alot of this if you just DI with the opponent and rack up alot of damage since it doesnt hit them high, or any air move pikachu has there all good attacks...too bad they didnt put the Iron tail haha as like part of the top of the arch and it would glow for like a split second and if you hit that part of the up-air that would of been good Iron Tail spike but oh well ..... theres more things there you can do with pikachu but how I love how pikachu can do so much in here now.... I just miss his up-air spike tho it would be more interesting. Well thats all for now enjoy and if theres more i find out ill make more thank you again for the props and i dont wanna argue with anyone here im just here to help watever i can in our journey to be a better pikachu. I wonder if my brawl level goes up ill change to a Raichu haha jp:laugh:

Ok, so basically I'm a newb to the forums and a noob to the advanced techniques. Now when you say rotate; what does that exactly mean? Like how do you perform these moves exactly.

And also, how do you footstool and do the attack where you hit them up in the air and then thunder them.

Fake Thunder:

the rotation is like i dont know if you have played street fighter? haha the first fighting game haha  but kinda like the hurricane kick from ryu and ken except its like this

Short hop or regular jump then rotate in one smooth motion the analog stick from down/forward to get the fast fall, down and while doing the rotation of down press the B to get out the thunder and down/ back to back get the DI to move backwards ...get used to that motion and it should come out... wow thats alot of things broken down all for one move haha :chuckle:

as for the quick attack to footstool to a n-air

1st know the distance of the quick attack as I said in the video
quick attack to the opponent the immediately short hop to get the footstool jump and press A as your N-air should connect at the same time its really fast to do for me I use the Y as my jump and then I just slide it to A .. on my gamecube controller its so easier that way

any more questions feel free to ask
glad I could help:bee:;)

Truth. Except for the Pikachu being low-tier in Melee part.

The community will be diluted heavily, and we can expect a variety of different attitudes/approaches towards the boards.

Kinda makes me wanna become a Pikachu mod. :pikachu: is too good.=D=D=D

Additionally, Quack (Quick attack cancel) WILL make Pikachu technical, which will make my gameplay faster and more technical, which makes me happy because I was a Fox/Pikachu/Marth in Melee! =D=D=D
