This is not a joke. This is an actual picture from the Brawl Character screen.

Realize that this picture was taken before Peach was added, and does not feature some of the other updated and/or secret characters.

Also you can Clearly see C.Falcon, Luigi, and what appears to be Gannon in the Picture. Also notice there are 54 character slots.

It does not Look photoshopped.

If that's the case it's the most convincing Photoshop I have ever seen. I'm pretty **** good at shooping things myself, and I know I couldn't make something look that real.

I really don't think it is a shoop. And I knew there would be unbelievers out there. ;)

No, because we have seen through the screens in the updates at the DOJO!! that the screens and menus for Brawl are white. This is just a black background with some pieces from Melee stuck on. Hell, I could do this, and I'm a Photoshop noob.

Also, it just screams fake with the placing of the characters, and the fact that there are only ten or so starters.

Jag förstår inte. Vad sa du?
Sakurai's not revealing unlockable characters on the Dojo, right? Well then, where are Diddy and PT? And do you really think Ganondorf would be playable from the start?

...Jus sayin

First of all, all of that art is found on Google. With the same models and same positions. Sakurai wouldn't do that for every character.

Second of all, you can put computer video on the television or vice versa through a variety of methods, such as a sv adapter or TV card. Thus you just need to slideshow a photoshopped version of the character select screen and then start recording. It would have no borders or anything.

Not only are all of the characters such as Luigi using old art, but this is old enough to miss Pokémon Trainer and Peach. Heck, he didn't even put in any cursors.

think its a fake

its a beautiful one, but is a fake

some easy way to see is the formation of the characters, nintendo always but the initial characters in the center of the screen

I don't even see how people think the actual photoshop image on the screen good. It has no graphics in the background, the canvas is so bland and I think Sakurai would have adjustable fields like stock tickets at the top. Sora is a professional company. I don't think they'd use such a dull unorganized select screen. :p

It's a fake. Where are the cursors and tokens? Why's everything placed so...randomly? And above all, how'd this get out if it's real? If you look at the "Names" update on the Dojo, then you'll see, under a pic of Samus, the words: The character-selection screen is still a secret! Therefore, Sakurai hasn't shown it on the Internets yet. Dude, this is fake. Very well done, but fake.

Well it's Fake. No 50 characters. 40-42 yes. NO SELECT SCREEN WILL BE POSTED UP BEFORE THE GAME COMES OUT!!! Especially because it would destroy this games rep. All you go around and see, even for the small updates or discoveries, that people will go ballastic over them! It would probably be the same thing except worse if a C.S.S (Character Select Screen) came out before Brawl came out. (PHEW!)

Why do so many people have to post in this topic stating the obvious? -_-

Fake. Everyone knows that the character select screen will have a background with ToeJam and Earl-esque graphics.

Why has no one else bothered to point out that there are 50 characters on the screen, not 54? Also, the actual photoshop image is terrible. The fact that it is displayed on a TV screen doesn't make it any more credible. A toddler could put a photoshop image on a TV screen and take a picture of it.

Notice how there is no Player Cursors on the Screen (P1, P2, P3, P4)

You know, the little hands and tokens, that show which character you're choosing.
