I guess I'll have to try em out, but I think I'd prefer this:
X: Attack
Y: Special
A: Jump
B:Jump

R: Grab
L + R = Shield

This is a pretty darn solid control scheme. My only hope is that there is an option to disable stick-jumping. It's a bad habit I've had since 64 and it's my goal to kick it with the new game.

The controls are fine. The Grab and Shield buttons can be changed once the game releases. That is, if the option for changing the controller's layout is still there.

This would be perfect, if my friggin' R button wasn't broken. But I'm fairly certain we'll get custom controls, so I won't spend on a new 3ds anytime soon.

It's broken? Oh, yeah, there's a huge chance of them including that option for Smash 3DS. I dunno why would they take it out, anyway.
