Photoshop Question - Sigs

Hey guys,

I forgot how you make those diagonal lines to like cover your sig. All I can remember is somehow opening a new screen, drawing two diagonal pixels in it, then saving it. Then there was some option where you apply it to your sig.

If anyone could jog my memory (complete with steps!), it'd be very appreciated. :]
