Petition for Nintendo to release a HD Dinosaur Planet for Wii U

As much as I enjoyed Star Fox Adventures, I feel a bit sad when I look at Dinosaur Planet and the potential that game had. The game itself was nearly complete, and there are no ROMs out there (for now at least.) And while Microsoft purchased Rare, everything Dinosaur Planet related belongs to Nintendo.

That's why I'm asking you all out there who are interested in this cancelled game, wether you liked Star Fox Adventures or not, to sign this petition down below.

https://www.change.org/p/nintendo-remake-dinosaur-planet-as-rare-intended-it-to-be

Thank you

The petition isn't actually going to change anything. When's the last time Nintendo listened to something like this, especially when they'd be

A) Potentially creating legal troubles with Rare
B) Taking a HUGE risk financially
C) Putting time into making an unreleased and likely unfinished game compatible with an HD system
D) Doing all of the above for something that was retooled as a different game, one that wasn't too successful to begin with

It's not gonna happen.

Nice idea but....

You do know Dinosaur Planet eventually morphed into Star Fox Adventures, right?

Since they explicitly acknowledged it in the OP, I'd imagine so. I think the idea is they're interested in seeing what the original game might've been like.

I don't imagine we'll ever get to see that but I have to admit I would be interested in seeing how different it would've been from what we saw.

My bad.

But I would be willing to guess Rare trashed a good portion of whatever was made when Yamamuchi made the call that it turn into a Star Fox installment instead.

I highly doubt this will ever happen, considering Rare does not make games for Nintendo's home consoles since 2002. Besides, they would have to contact Microsoft and settle things down and all that.. it'd be a mess, for lack of a better word.

The game was released as Star Fox Adventures. Unfortunately, it is what it is, and we can't do anything about it.

Dinosaur Planet does look cool, but I highly doubt a HD remake would ever happen. I highly doubt Nintendo will spend their time remaking a game that was retooled into a Star Fox game in the end. They never cared about petitions anyway. Besides, Rare's no longer the company it was back then. It's now a mere shell of its former self, so a remake of a cancelled version of Dinosaur Planet is highly unlikely.
