Pete278
Smash Lord
With a title like that, can you really not read this thread?
Anyway, after I recently returned to the boards (I honestly forgot about this place, no offence to anyone here) after my last appearance of, oh, last December, I think, I see all these new fangled character rosters. So, I decided to write my own, with a bunch of decisions which will most likely be high controversial, some of which will make no sense whatsoever, and one in paticular which I don't think anyone here would be able to make a good moveset for off the top of their heads. But, without further delay, I present to you, Pete278's Character Roster!
Confirmed Characters:
1. Mario
2. Link
3. Kirby
4. Pikachu
5. Fox
6/7. Samus/Zamus
8. Zelda
9. Bowser
10. Donkey Kong
11. Yoshi
12. Peach
13. Ice Climbers
14. Pit
15. Wario
16. Ike
17/18/19. Pokemon Trainer
20. Diddy Kong
21. Meta Knight
22. Snake
23. Lucas
And now, my 17 added characters.
Mario Series:
24. Luigi
Comment: I hope no comment is really needed for Luigi. The only thing you could possibly have against him is that he was a Mario clone, sort of, but now with Mario getting FLUDD, its fairly obvious Luigi will get his vacuum, seperating the two even further.
25. King Boo
Comment: Although this may seem off to some people, I honestly think King Boo deserves to be in SSBB over the likes of Bowser Jr., and Geno (although that may be helped by the fact I have no idea who Geno is, and therefore don't think he should be in). He'd be entirely unique, due to the fact he's a ghost, and the boos need a representative, being one of Mario's oldest enemies and King Boo fits that well.
Legend of Zelda Series:
26. Ganondorf
Comment: Like Luigi, I hope no comment is needed here. His new appearance in Twilight Princess gives him more new moves to set him apart from Captain Falcon, and so it should be almost certain he is in it.
27. Skull Kid
Comment: The main villian of Majora's Mask, and a recurring character in the Zelda series (which is quite a feat if you aren't one of the Triforce possessors), Skull Kid is a character I think quite clearly deserves to be in SSBB. Even though there are many Skull Kids in the game, it is told that the one in Majora's ask and Ocarina of Time are the same one, and hinted that the one from Twilight Princess is also the same. Although some think it difficult to think of a move set for him, he does have his darts, and his puppet-summoning horns.
28. Tingle
Comment: Even though I'm grouping Tingle with the Legend of Zelda characters, since he now has two of his own games out, he could probably be in a series of his own. Although Tingle is relatively unpopular in the United States, he is very popular in Japan, and could quite probably be in Brawl due to this popularity. After all, characters that start off as relatively minor characters don't get two of their own games without being very popular.
Star Fox series:
29. Falco
Comment: Its either him or Wolf, and frankly, I prefer Falco, since he was in Melee, he deserves a second shot.
30. Krystal
Comment: Although Krystal is the newest addition to the Star Fox team, she appears to be one of the most popular. Wielding her staff from Star Fox Adventures, she'd be a character with a unique moveset, due to a complete lack of staff-wielders, and Sakurai wanted more female characters in the game, so, here she is.
Pokemon series:
31. Lucario
Comment: Clearly the most wanted 4th-gen pokemon on these boards (even though I'd honestly prefer Darkrai) and one of the most popular pokemon in the world (next to mudkip :D), some strange things would have to happen to stop Lucario appearing in SSBB now, since even the moves he learn fit perfectly as a unique move set.
32. Mewtwo
Comment: After the rather disappointing display Mewtwo had in SSBM, I wouldn't be too surprised if Sakurai decided to drop Mewtwo, even though Mewtwo is capable of being so much more than a Samus clone that it was in SSBM, and really does deserve another shot in SSBB.
33. Jigglypuff
Comment: The cute fluff ball remains one of the most popular pokemon around, and, as such, it would be a crime to remove its unique move set from the game.
F-Zero Series:
34. Captain Falcon
Comment: It would take a supernova to remove Chuck Norris' alter-ego from SSBB. In the very, very, very unlikely circumstance that Captain Falcon does get removed, I'm sure you'll see rioters appear in front of NoA to complain.
35. Black Shadow
Comment: Captain Falcon's arch-nemesis, who seeks to do nothing but kill Falcon on the track. Even if he was turned into a subordinate of Deathborn, I still think Black Shadow is the more important character for the series, and face it, F-Zero needs another representative.
Kirby series:
36. King Dedede
Comment: The second greatest Kirby villian, who's appeared in every Kirby game bar one, quite clearly deserves to be in SSBB. I don't know much about him, so I can't say if he'd have a good move set or not, but I think its quite clear that if Metaknight gets to be in SSBB, that Dedede should be in too.
Retro Series:
37. Mr Game & Watch
Comment: After an amazing appearance in SSBM, and with the Ice Climbers returning, it should be pretty clear that Mr Game & Watch will return, maybe with a slight boost in his move set.
Metroid Series:
38. Ridley
Comment: Samus's nemesis space pirate drake has waited long enough to get in, and it was a crime for him to not be in SSBM. With what would be a unique move set, due to his unique nature, Ridley seems to be a shoe in for SSBM.
Fire Emblem Series:
39. Black Knight
Comment: One of few characters in Fire Emblem to even be mentioned in another game in the series, the Black Knight is an important villian in Fire Emblem. He wields Alondite, a magic sword blessed by the goddess and stands in his suit of black armour also blessed by the godess, making it nigh impenetrable. He also wields warp powder, allowing him to teleport away, giving him a perfect move set for SSBB.
Uh...Nintendo series?:
40. Shigeru Miyamoto
Comment: Now, this one may seem a bit, well, insane to some people, but I think it truly is a good way to honour Miyamoto for all he's done to the gaming industry. Think about it, putting him in a game, filled with many characters he himself created. Although it may be hard to think up a move set for him, if he were to be in it, I think Nintendo could come up with something good.
