Wow, I'm surprised we didn't have a topic on this, but here we go.

Cashed and I were ****ting all over this game a few weeks ago, then he played it and said it was great. I bought it last night and just started. The game is completely and utterly wonderful. The turn-based combat is given a unique twist with real-time blocking. The artwork is gorgeous, and the character models are really top-notch.

It's episode 1, implying there will be more, and if the rest are as fun as this, I'm excited.

Glad to hear you went ahead and got it. After playing the free trial, I wanted more, so I bit my lip as I spent $20 to download the full game. I soon forgot about that $20 I was having so much fun. The humor is fantastic, just like the comics and the scenarios are hilarious. In what other game are you finding a meat stamper to push hobo meat onto some guy making soup? None other than this. I played the game for about four hours after downloading it, enjoying every minute of it. The combat system is turn based, but keeps you on your toes with the blocking mechanic (hate it when turn based RPGs don't have these nowadays) and the way your attack/item/special meters replenish.

And seriously. You battle Fruit ****ers.

I kinda wish I knew how many episodes and how frequently they'd be out (I'd rather just buy a whole season at once). Hopefully they do a Sam and Max monthly scheduled epsiodes, ie REAL episode format vs Half-Life 2's "Whenever" pseudo-episodic format.

On the Xbox Live Marketplace. :)

Beat the game about an hour ago. After you beat it there's a sneak peak "next time on Penny Arcade adventures..." and shows you cutscene clips from the next installment, so I'd guess they're pretty far along in development for the next episode.

The game opens up with the whole four gods on the windowsill thing, so I'm going to assume we're getting four episodes.

Click on the giant image on the first page you see, it'll take you straight to a DL options page.

Am downloading now. :)

I, too, have bought this game and am currently enjoying my slow, leisurely stroll through it. I just hope it gets harder.

Also, I'm pretty sure I read Tycho saying there would be 4 episodes total in an interview he did with Joystiq.

Well after that amazing demo, I've also joined the club. The limited customization is more than made up for the fact that they illustrate you in the cutscenes

Havn't finished the demo yet, but I'm pretty hooked lol. No doubt once I get a bit more spare cash (gotta save for the GA tourny haha) I'm probably gonna be right on the wagon with the rest of you.

Time to beak the crap out of more Fruit ****ers with mah rake XD.
