No, not the flash animation. I'm talking about the delicious sandwiches I'm sure you had when you were wee little kids. Or maybe you still have them... I haven't had a PB&J in years until about 3 weeks ago. I couldn't find anything to eat for lunch, and my little sister, the messy monster she is, left all the materials out for HER lunch, that being bread, peanut butter, and jam. Out of hunger I constructed two great sandwiches. My first sandwiches were simple. Delicious. Breathtaking...

Wheat Bread (2 slices)
Strawberry Jelly (Smucker's brand)
Peanut Butter (Peter Pan brand) (Creamy)

I collided the slice of peanut butter bread and the jelly bread together, gulped down a huge bite, and made another one. Nice!

Since then I've been making PB&Js every day for my lunch. Usually two, but could be as low as a half a sandwich and as high as three depending on my hunger level. I've had all kinds of jams; strawberry, grape, blueberry, apple. Crunchy peanut butter, creamy, smooth, almond, and sugar-free. There have been double-deckers, bit-sized pieces, and I even put the jelly inside the bread once. Sides, if applicable, have included fruit, graham crackers, sunflower seeds, and candy. Drinks include milk, various juices, and water. Haven't done soda yet.

So what's the point of this topic? Well...
1) Have you ever had/made a PB&J
2) If so, when? When was your last one?
3) How do you prepare your treat? More peanut butter? More jam? White bread? Wheat?
4) What flavors, brands, and kinds of the ingredients do you use?
5) Maybe you like to get freaky on your sandwich and put something... different on. If so, tell us!
6) Anything else relating! Got a story about the sandwich of champions? Maybe a little tidbit? Are you eating one right now?

General PB&J Discussion is GO :bee:

Q1) Have you ever had/made a PB&J
A1) Yes (of course, what kind of question is that! :chuckle:).

Q2) If so, when? When was your last one?
A2) About a week now!

Q3) How do you prepare your treat? More peanut butter? More jam? White bread? Wheat?
A3) I have extra peanut butter w/ extra jam and white bread. Cut into triangles. :chuckle:

Q4) What flavors, brands, and kinds of the ingredients do you use?
A4) I'm not 100% sure to be honest. I really just throw in any brand that i buy.

Q5) Maybe you like to get freaky on your sandwich and put something... different on. If so, tell us!
A5) Umm. I don't tend to get freaky with a sandwich, do you?. But I have once tried marmalaid in my recipe. Sadly it made me throw up 10mins later :(
(I don't actually know if that was me feeling sick that day or the sandwich?).

Q6) Anything else relating! Got a story about the sandwich of champions? Maybe a little tidbit? Are you eating one right now?
A6) Nope,..sorry i am not eating right at this moment. (I'm drinking. Drinking Hot Chocolate!!. Tender Loving Baby!!! :bee:).

Here, there and everywhere.
For some reason these have never caught on in the UK. I tried one whilst visiting my aunt in Philadelphia in 2001 and though I liked it, never endevoured to make once since.

Maybe I will now, when I get home from school

1) Have you ever had/made a PB&J
A) Yes

2) If so, when? When was your last one?
A) Last Wednesday

3) How do you prepare your treat? More peanut butter? More jam? White bread? Wheat?
A) More creamy PB, on white or wheat, no pref.

4) What flavors, brands, and kinds of the ingredients do you use?
A) Creamy PB, grape jelly (no preserves, can't stand eating chunks of fruit with PB&J)

5) Maybe you like to get freaky on your sandwich and put something... different on. If so, tell us!
A) I've put cinnamon on it once, it was decent. Honey is another good ingredient.

6) Anything else relating! Got a story about the sandwich of champions? Maybe a little tidbit? Are you eating one right now?
A) No, I'm having a bagel and a Dr. Pepper right now. Maybe later because it sounds good now...

PB&J has never really interested me. Give me a turkey/ham/roast beef sandwich any day!

Has anyone ever experimented with some kind of jam and Nutella? It seems like Nutella with some type of fruit jam would be hella good but I'm unfortunately allergic to hazel nuts...
