Thanks to @Dark.Pch 's dtilt to uair spike setup, and combining what I had learned from sheiks chaingrab, I came across a neat chain. Its simple to explain, dtilt to uair spike, rinse and repeat. Its not easy to pull off though, at least to me. I have managed to pull it off consistently at 1/2 and 2/3 speed but having a lot of trouble at 1x speed. If someone with more skill can try it and put it on video it'd be great.

Percentage matters a lot, but I swear I pulled a 0 to 70% on Bowser at halfspeed. Only managed to do it once though, from then on I had to set it to at least 10% on bowser and 20% on some other chars. To me, this is one of those techs that's gonna be more feasible on the wiiU with a decent controller. I dont ever see me being able to pull it off consistently on the 3ds, but hey, Im just a scrub, you guys might be actually able to find a good use for it.

(edit: finally got it on full speed on video).

Heres the vids:

Half speed (bowser a 10%)

2/3 speed (dorf at 25%)

Edit: Full Speed (bowser at 25%)

The D-tilt > U-air is a true combo, but nothing is guaranteed afterwards.

Dark.Pch pointed out D-air > U-air spike, and I think that's the most useful application. Grounded D-air > U-air spike > Grab could catch your opponent off-guard from time to time.

What I usually do from a D-tilt at very low %s is double jump float cancel N-air > Dash Grab > D-throw > F-tilt/B-air. All of that is guaranteed, iirc.

You can also just do the spike from an empty floating Uair. The hitbox is huge and it's pretty fast so it's not very hard to hit, especially vs aerial opponents. Of course, this too will be much easier to execute in the Wii U version since we will be able to move back and forwards while Uairing.
